Hi guys!

Been browsing threads to get a feel for the game while the client is downloading. Things look great thus far.

I've been playing MMOs since 1996. UO, DAoC, AO, SB, SWG, EQ2, Planetside, Eve, EnB, Horizons (not necessarily in this order, obviously)

I've played tanks, casters, support, crafters, etc.

After 9 years I know ther are 2 things that keep me playing:
1. Socialization/Friendships
2. Feeling that my character is playing filling a needed function

I play frequently, but not a powergamer. I am 35 with a large family. I'm looking for a group of people (guild?) to start out with while I fumble my way through noobdom (which is very thrilling for me!).

Any takers?

Looks like you came to the right place! I'm also 35 and have played most of the games you mentioned! You sure you ain't a clone??? I watched the Island recently and I was wondering if this was actually going on or not lol.

I haven't been playing very long and have just been getting the feel of the starter island i'm playing on so maybe will see you about depending where you start and what time you play My characters are Gildarian and Ulfang tho i'll probably play Giltharian more as he's a Matis and I like the sound of them more.

Don't be too despondant about the inactivity on the Starting Island as you'll see from many posts it can't compare to the experience on the Mainland! Happy hunting and may see you around.....

As for Guilds check the guilds Forum as there's lots of info in there

I downloaded and installed it; however, I cannot see how to enter a SoG area.

I am entering game right now as "Lacrimosa" if anyone would like to show me the ropes

Who were you on EnB? Some ex EnB players have made it to Atys after the servers went dead almost a year ago. Several of my guild were on the Gallileo server.
