hello I played for my free month but probably only put in maby 5 or 6 days worth of time total when I first started , then soon after had some problems irl and now Iam back..
Iam wondering if I were to want to make a magic user is this wise, what race is good and how do races differ on magic.
I like to play purist casters usually in games and Id just like some advise before I create a toon this time.
Any info would be great and thanks -J

No difference between the races apart from looks and where you start! so it really doesnt matter who you choose

Every race has special racial spell at higher level but you can get them all when you travel a bit. Other than that, tryker model is smallest one and hardest to see or target in pvp. So, in theory trykers are best

Lore wise, zorai are most devoted magicians.
It will be easier if you train a little bit of melee also in beginning. You will get some extra precious hp faster that way.

I´ll just say: Welcome!
If your reasons to play a "purist caster" are RP related, then you should consider the following:
Matis are the proverbial, arrogant sheemers, so a Mage of that Race would probably be a "Merlin" like Charakter with a dark twist to it.
Tryker, are considered sprightly and freedom loving, racous people. So a Mage would IMHO tend to the extreme "wild Magic" trickster Achetype.
Zorai are mystical and strange. More Priest like than real Magie, so a cross between Shaolin and mendicant Monk seems to fit quite well.
Fyros would be a Kind of War-Mages, i think. As warlike as their Race is described.
But of course, these are just "stereotypes" of my own imagination. Others might disagree.
Alas, enjoy your stay on Atys.

Check the sticky FAQs above on Networking and LinkSys - you need to put the networking port UDP 47851 into your allowed ports for your firewall.

If you've set everything to high then it could just be your comp trying to load all the textures.....
