I just started playing this game, came over from AC2 now that they have announced that they are shutting down.

I love the graphics and what I have seen so far in the way of game play with this game. Blows the doors off of the cartoon game of WoW.

My problem is I will play for 20 or 30 mins then I will get the little window with the monitor and the red x next to it come up that says "please wait" and the game just locks up i have to relog to get back. Its really frustrating, any help on this issue becuase this would be a game breaker for me

Well the work around on one of the posts didn't work im not sure why this is happening but it happens evey time im in and only takes about 5 or 10 mins now and I lock up......... errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr really getting frustrated!

hmm although the 'please wait' is meant for connection problem notification I've seen it come up when my pc's struggling so maybe it's something else.
Don't know, I would go the way of checking firewall/router settings first though.

Thank you for your responses all I am narrowing down the problem.

Last night I unpluged my Linksys router and connected my computer directly to the cable modem. That did the trick, had not one "please wait" lockup in a 2 or so hour play period.

Ok this is fine but will get old having to plug and unplug my router eveytime I want to play. I tried to open the ports on my router from a work around post that gave that recommendation. However, when I did that and hit the Accept changes button when the screen refreshed on the router utilities page that had the settings they all reverted back to "0" like I had put nothing in. I even got the settings successful screen come up after I hit the accept but all dissapeared when it refreshed. Am I doing something wrong??

Oh and on a side note..... How do I upgrade my Magic Amp glove things from the noob ones?? There Doesnt seem to be any vendors that sell upgraded gloves in the Noob town I started in.... It seems that one of my spells now requires me to have a better set of gloves to get its full effect.

I thought it was frowned upon if you went to the mainland before skill level of 20?
