Zorai masks

Is there any way to remove a mask, IC? I know they're "genetically sewn on," but what does that mean exactly and what does it mean for a Zorai who chooses to be Karavan-aligned? How do Zorai eat? Are they born with their masks or are they implanted later? Do the masks grow/change as the wearer matures/grows older?

And one more question, though it probably won't be answered or'll be answered with a "no." Any chance of being able to actually remove the mask ingame? Like as a faction alignment feature, or a purchasable cosmetic, or a Character Creation feature?

And what do you think Zorai faces might look like? :)

Afaik the masks are living and therfore they grow with the Zorai. They are not born with them. The masks are a gift from the Kami. There was a thread where someone mentioned the nanoseeds and that they have something todo with the masks. The nanoseeds might be the "good" counterpart of the "evil" Goo. There is so much on Atys that is not resolved and know by us homins. I hope every secret will be know someday (next 100 patches ;) )

I know it isn't actually possible. :) I was wondering if it were possible In-Character. Though even if it were, it wouldn't be completely since one look at the character would show the mask to still be blatantly attached. :p

and what exactly are they made out off? What do they feel like? Plastic'ish? Metallish? Wood'ish? Boney? Porcelein?

What if you take a mace to it, would it crack?

um .... scratch that last sentence :D
