Fledgling crafter looking for advice

I am still new to the game..mostly been leveling the various races to see what enviroment I like. It seems I will not get very far without becoming a crafter. My question is, it it better to focus on one particular type of item (e.g. armor only) and use points to produce higher quality, or is it best to learn as many crafting types (e.g. armor AND weapons) as possible in order to maximize the use of materials and level faster. Crafting seems difficult to level when you are trying to be self-sufficient, so I want to ensure I am leveling efficiently.

I am leaning toward to latter option since I usually have a surplus of crafting items that I could use to craft, though on the flip side I could sell those surplus items and buy gear from other crafters.

Anyone have any advice? Would be much appreciated!

Hi there!

it really depends on how you want to progress as a crafter.. If your goal is to become very talented (ie high q) then its best to stick to one thing only. Generally you'll be digging to supply the mats needed so you can concentrate on digging only those required for armor/weapons or whatever. If you'd rather be a jack of all trades then do weapons and armor and you'll be able to use pretty much any material you get your hands on, but your progression will really slow at later levels (as the different branches split at several points)

It's useful to level at least two things i think if only for the sp to purchase boosts and so on. but as you become better you will also become much richer and be able to purchase the mats to grind say jewels up a bit and end up with lots of sp.

the choice as they say is yours :)
