What is this? All I know is that it looks Kami made and I don't trust it.

Is that handprint a button of sorts? Who can we find to test it?

My guess is one of the statues discussed in the Episode 2 introduction.

Will probably just have names on a plaque.

it is obviously related to the Kami teleport beacons, so my guess is that it is a more complex interdimensional gate, which, when completed and activated by some unsuspecting homin, will allow Ma-Duk to enter our physical reality and devour the life-essences of all intelligent beings, then, still not satisfied, Ma-Duk will continue to destroy and consume all in his (?) path until the Karavan are forced to destroy Atys in order to save the rest of the universe.

Ma Duk is already here, Each Kami you see is a piece of him. Everything you've said here, Pure karavan bodoc droppings.

if you look at the plate with the hand imprint on it, it says "acme" on the right side of the hand.....
