Trivia fans, this one's for you!

Saga Of Ryzom features an epic storyline and a large number of legendary characters. How much do you know about them? Who are the Karavan? Why does Atys grow? Is the Great Dragon real, or only a legend? Who are Jena and Elias? Who created the game?

Prove your knowledge in our next Saga Of Ryzom Trivia night and become a legend of your own! The winning players and the winning teams will be added to a Trivia Hall of Fame.

The Trivia night will give you the chance to compete against other fellow players and guilds and learn a thing or two about the Saga of Ryzom along the way. Bring fame to the Kami or Karavan in one of our team-based trivia rounds, or go for the highscore in one of the single-player games.

Date: Sunday, August 14th 2005
Time: 20:00 CET // 6.00 pm GMT // 2.00 pm EST
Location: IRC, Server: "irc.netgamers.org", Channel: "#ryzom"

If you are not familiar with IRC, here's some guidelines:
1) Download an IRC client of your choice (i.e. "mIRC" from http://www.mirc.com)
2) Execute the program, choose a nickname and connect to the server, by either choosing it from the server list in the options menu, or by simply typing "/server irc.netgamers.org" in the main window, at the bottom of the screen.
3) Once connected to the server, join the Ryzom channel by typing "/join #ryzom" in the main window.

We hope that many of you will participate in the trivia and wish everyone loads of fun!

I'd be a lot more likely to attend if this type of thing were actually in-game.

i still haven't received my t-shirt from the one months ago ...

This was alot of fun last time although was a bit chaotic It is strange though - first we organise a pub/party night in Thesos, then there's a party event in Pyr. Now we set up a quiz in Thesos and there's this Our next event will involve giving me lots of dapper, I hope a similar official event will follow

Anyway joking aside this is worth checking out.

If I have to deal with IRC for a contest it isn't SoR related IMHO...

The SoR folks have specific rules guiding thier conduct... IRC can be as much a popularity contest as anything else... I wish you good luck... I will not participate. ANY "Miss Atys" contest that picked a Tryker woman was surely not scientific, that wench is FUGLY!!!!

Now, she may make a fine slave... Being short and all...

Hmm, that's strange. All prizes have been mailed to the winners, but quite a while ago actually, they should have arrived by now. Can you mail me your details via pm Kaetemi? I'll check what's wrong.
