How about a range ambush next?

I was thinking (I know that's bad) about setting up a clopper ambush on a grand scale.
Firstly, we would put the team or teams on the hill behind the Oasis Waterbreakers camp. Hopefully with heavy weps. Then 2 brave lads would sneak over to clopper hill and each let off a couple of grenades. Clopper hill has up to 100 cloppers on it so we might attract the attention of a few dozen or so.
Next, the 2 lads run like ffff, ehm, very fast through breakers camp & up to join the teams on the hill while the team blasts away at the pursuing horde when they come within range at the bottom. This allows a good killing zone and hopefully a lot of xp. A few low melee & mages could be present to help deal with the remnants if they get past the friendly breakers.
The idea is in the development phase atm so--- develope it.

Pretty!!
KK - entrenchments on the bluffs on both sides of the Water Breakers camp ... Lines of launchers with loaders to make ammo and hand it to them as fast as possible ... in front of them rifles and pistols and everything else ... behind the arrtillery is the mages - healers/nukers - and the melee fighters ...
The idea is to bring the cloppers through the camp where they will come under fire from above on both flanks and the Water Breakers (hope they will be on speaking terms with us afterwards).
Form a line of pullers from the camp to Clopper Hill ... one person (or more depending on how many it takes to get the bugs in gear) taunts, who is healed by the next person back who is healed by the next person back etc so the cloppers have an unbroken line to run up on to the camp. These brave souls can be rezzed after the cloppers have rushed the camp so they can join in the fun.
Once the cloppers are in the camp the lines of gunners/mages will need to swivel to get the cloppers as they come up the back of the bluffs.
ALL levels of skills will be needed!
Diggers of all kinds of levels of mats for the ammo ...
Crafters of all kinds of levels to make the ammo as fast as needed ...
Healers of all kinds of levels to keep the gunners and loaders in business and to help out the bigger healers or nukers ...
Range fighters of all levels so we can throw as many bullets at 'em as we can ...
Swordsmen, pikemen to help pick off those that get through the lines ...
hmmmmmm
yanno what?
I sure hope there's gonna be enough cloppers to go around!

That's not possible as we would hit the Breakers as well.
There are approx 100 cloppers on that hill and if we run out then we can lure the bandite & loot their dappers. There is a bandit camp at the hill too.

if you do this you gotta plan it so it's at least either weekends or evening'ish in NA. I want to bring a camera to capture all the killing!
And watching the cloppers wandering away.

Sounds like heaps of fun. Two possible problems though:
1. Could we pull the clopper all the way to the Water Breakers camp, now that they give up chase after 200 meter?
2. Wouldn't our launchers and autolaunchers hit the Water Breakers too?
Now if you ask me (which you probably don't want to do) you should try pulling them to Oasis Rift just north of the Water Breakers camp. There's two very narrow corridors in which, in theory, a few melee could block the cloppers in while the rangers blast them from above. I think it's about 250 meter from Clopper Hill so might just be possible to get them there. Though if not we could always just do a grand assault on Clopper Hill. And probably a few more if one DP isn't enough
I just hope Clopperketh will be up.

if you hit them they would not break combat after 250 or 300 m from the place you last hit them(don´t know exactly what the range is atm)

hmm i think we will hit them too, as i don´t recall now if they are attackable or not

Oasis Rift sounds good too

, as long as we find someplace there where the cloppers can´t climp the hills

or for the charge against clopper hill itself... well if we get 40+ homis with good autolaunchers and some melee&nukers/healers we could even get away with it *hehehe*

aah, that would be a big bonus too, we can give his mats as commemorative pieces to the fair homins that participated, one piece per team and they have to roll a /random 100 to see who in team gets it

hehehe only 100 ? i have made some screenies of clopper hill, it´s swarming like an anthill. i tryed to to count the cloppers in one lump... i couldn´t...
there where around 30-50 cloppers in that single lump and there where 4 lumps just on this one side of the hill
that would really be fun... or max DP =D

Yoinks! Hadn't considered that ... no no - don't want to take the chance of hitting them. There are some alleyways behind there - where the Karavan Welcomer stands alone ...

I fancy trapping them in the alleyway with a few melee using lower lvl of fighting so as not to spoil too much xp.
Healers on both sides could heal the tanks while we just shoot their b*ll*cks off. Not the tanks or healers that is. Although......nooo, not really.
You have to be over 40 in range to hit them at all. We could also have fire bomb as an enchant on the guns to give added firepower.
Anyway, let's keep discussing it till the plan is sorted. Our last range event was US afternoon/Euro evening on a Sunday. Comments?
