Behind Enemy Lines!
Homins, I bring you tidings of rumblings in the Prime Roots.
In times past that measures but a blink of an eye in the life of Atys, Kitins still swarmed her surface in frenzy, altering homin life forever. Deep within the core of each homin should lie the remembrance of the ancestors' escape to the warrens of the Prime Roots.
The weekend to come foresees a gathering of memories of this flight, symbolized by a competative re-enactment by homins, focused within the Trench of Trials at the stark hour of 8pm UK time on Saturday August 6th and 1am UK time on Sunday August 7th.
Homins, heed my words!

Re: Behind Enemy Lines!
So this is an reactment of the near homin xenocide by the Kitins, when the Fyros first disturbed the Kitin nest by "dropping" that first Kitin?
This should be fun

So are we dropping a kitten, and then running back, or what? This ritual sounds interesting, but I am curious as to what exactly is happening.

Please do not lump all homin in with the Karavan-tainted weaklings who fled their homelands for the prime roots.
The more adventurous of us are refugees who came to the new lands to rebuild our civilizations. Those who's ancestors accepted the Karavan's protection in the prime roots now wander the cities like sleepwalkers, or seek to rule the new heroes and heroines of Atys on the virtues of deeds long past.
If you want a simple ceremony remembering the swarming and the homin that fell, then your invitation is fine. If you are looking for a group to take the fight to the kitin, then address your remarks to refuges.

Re: Behind Enemy Lines!
Confused is me, will this be a pvp event? It is in PR after all. Or will people be jumping the poor homins that try to have fun in an event that isn't supposed to be pvp?
Re: Behind Enemy Lines!
Homins, I bring you tidings once again of the weekend to come. The chosen way to commemorate our ancestors will be through a match of a game known as 'Behind Enemy Lines'. Much deliberation has gone into finding an accurate representation of the persecution of homins while retaining a friendly spirit and from these meditations the following rules have resulted:
Behind Enemy Lines is a PvP game similar to the game of Tag, mixed with Hide And Seek. Certain players will be named Refugee and everyone else will be named Homin. The Refugee will have to run and hide for the Homins and the longer they manage to stay alive, the more points they rack up. If a Homin kills a Refugee, the two switch places. This will continue for a set amount of time after which the person with the most points wins!
The rules are summarised as follows:

The rules are summarised as follows:
#1 One or more players will be appointed the Refugee(s) and all the other players are Homins, titles should be set accordingly
#2 Only the Refugee(s) can score points. They do so simply by staying alive as long as possible. They will gain one point per 30 seconds of staying alive.
#3 The Refugees may also score three points by killing a Homin.
#4 When a Homin kills a Refugee they change status (The Refugee becomes a Homin and vice versa). This way, the player who killed the Refugee now has a chance to score points.
#5 At the start of the game, the Refugee(s) will get a 30 second headstart to run. They will not gain a point for these first 30 seconds.
#6 The CSR’s decision is final in any argument.

Re: Behind Enemy Lines!
Thankyou to everyone who participated in the first Event! Noone managed to kill any of the 5 refugees, they were too swift to be caught.
Here are the scores:
Zryos 24pts
Jezza 19pts
Spiff 9pts
Zad 7pts
Fyrx 3pts
Well done all.

Re: Behind Enemy Lines!
It was a fun event. I went along to watch and spent most of my time following groups who were either wandering aimlessly, wondering where the refugee had gone, getting rezzed or going to rez someone else! Zyros may have won the game but mobs won the day.

Re: Behind Enemy Lines!
Rules made me have flashbacks to Catch the chicken for Quake2 (Quake3 as well, w00t! ). Knowing how much fun that was, I can imagine how much fun this event was.
