would suggest that the weather displayed on the map has little to do with the actual weather (ie mats popping on changes). An improvement would be a msg in sys info when weather changes, or a skill to learn that gives this information..

I've had little luck deciphering weather conditions related to mat pops ANYWHERE.

Night time in the rain it pops. Day time in the rain it doesn't. Night time fair it doesn't. Day time fair it does.

So I just ignore weather. I dig choice and every time I prospect I do exc/sup first to check. If no hits, another choice prospect. Rinse, repeat.

pff if i wanted bad weather i'd go outside :P

i would be nice if the tracker helped with weather, like there was a range or count down estimate. or %age chance of exe or supreme at this moment in time type device. kinda like thunderstorm watcher types back on earth.

Back in the beta days when we had debug mode it was easier to understand... in a nutshell what we see as "fair" is a number value between "X" & "Z", lets call it "Y". There is a sweet spot "Y" where the number settle in for a period of time that is truly "fair" season. The numbers may be moving up or down getting to the sweetspot and the indicator will still show "fair" weather.

It can payoff to wait a bit regardless of what weather shows and try again to prospect. It's finicky to begin with... even worse with the low yield materials in Atys due to overdigging worldwide and too low numbers by the Dev's.

that would be great if you actually knew the weather even in PR, i think thats whats the most furstrating part of it is for me never knowing if the weather has changed and it gets tiring prospecting every 10seconds for hopes of a pop.

Even doing a rite to gain the ability to know the weather underground would be great :)

ouuuh! weather related rites thats a great idea sir.

i had a rite idea where you would be able to get aggro a dif colour on the radar. maybe a weather rite would so something similar. would be good if by being a better forager you would actualy be more effective on the ground. Some sort of ranger, friend of the atyss type skills.

sorry been licking lots of najabb skin today :o

Accurate PR weather display would be good reward for top guy in pvp honor ladder system if one was implemented. You know, most PvP areas are in PR. It would be just logical.

:)

Hey, this would be a good opportunity to add a new skill tree, "Weather Forecasting!". You will get a more accurate sense of weather, be able to predict weather patterns, tell how long the current weather will last in an area and the likelyhood of what weather patterns gonna be arriving, and get paid for being, The Weather Man.

Each dinged will give you better accuracy.

Oh, and the obligatory: PVP! WOoT!!!! *raises the roof*
