im currently d/ling the free trial and was browsing the message boards, looking at the skills and whatnot..and was just wondering (I assume you can) duel wield 1 handed weapons...or if duel weild is a skill you learn.

Duel wielding 2 spears would be awesome =)

Can you either have:
1 Dagger, 1 Sword
1 Dagger, 1 Shield
1 Sword, 1 Shield
1 Lance, 1 Shield
1 Mace, 1 Shield
or 2 Daggers.

Hmm, if you really think about it, duel spears would be about as much use as fighting with 2 vaulting poles. A half-speedy dagger or sword wielder would have you dead and skinned before you could say "I poke you in the eye" Swinging two long, unbalanced poles is not the way to fight, if you want to win

One could hold the second spear mid-shaft, providing a reasonable opportunity for defense and a possible attack. So essentially it'd be similiar to wielding two daggers, except that the one would have a longer reach.

I'm pretty sure this doesn't make sense... if it helps, I put a lot of effort into a Paint image.

Isn't there 1H axe + shield as well?

And why isn't there a 2H staff? Really hard to look like a (stereotype) monk without that.

You can use every one handed weapon with a shield, so we should add
1H spear + shield, too.
