Im a new player as of today... was wondering if the race you choose dictates a particular side you end up on.... or can any race be in any guild?

Is it all guilds vs. eachother unless aliances are formed?

Heya, and welcome to the game.

The race you choose only dictates the faction and racial fame you start out with. This can be easily worked around by doing missions for other races and factions.
For instance Trykers start out with lower Zorai fame and higher Karavan fame, but by doing missions for the Zorai and Kami you can raise fame for both; thus 'converting' is possible.

Normally some guilds will have some requirments; Fyros and Zorai guilds might expect you to gain or have some decent Kami fame, though perhaps there' s the odd guild there that worships the words of Jena; but technically it is possible to join any guild, no matter the race.
