How do I get the ingame armlet for pre-ordering?

I registered my account and my pre-order passcode, but I can't figure out how to give my character the armlet. I really don't want to have to start over with a new character (although I would, lol). Thing is, I tried making a new character, he didn't get the armlet either. Would appreciate some help

I also entered my pre-order code after I had several characters already made. I couldn't figure out how to get them the armband.
However, any new characters I create do get the armband. In inventory, it looks like a wooden shield. Looks much fancier when equipped.

Crud...guess I have to start over. Is the armband any good? Or is it just a shieldy thing
