Naming Committee - Focus

The naming committee will focus on:

1) making all the names at a specific skill level sound equally as powerful
2) fixing names that sound wrong to a US/UK ear(do people hate oracle cause of Matrix?)
3) changing the racial names(slathist)
4) removing gender specificity when necessary

Once that is done additional names will be added as suggestions where necessary wherever the attending players can come to an agreement.
If anyone supports the racial names I would like to hear from them first.
I am trying to get Nevrax's opinion on the racial names, and also on medieval themed names. Additionally we need to know if they have opposition to previously discarded titles(shaman, warlock, black mage).

You should also find out exactly how dead set they are on all the titles translating perfectly between all the languages.

A lot of the changes were listed as necessary for translation reasons. While I personally don't think there's any reason to have the titles translate directly, they may for whatever reason not permit us to have our own variations.

I like the racial titles, but only if they are either
A. An option on top of a more neutral title or
B. Have all 4 race version of each so the homin can pick (and I don't mean get assigned one based on their avatar's civ)

But I don't expect either of those to be possible....

They want consistency, but it doesnt have to be the same words. For our purposes we are going to ignore what the german servers and french servers have. It doesn't make it any easier or harder to code.

It makes the game easier to sell though. All that tidy name stuff.

*cough*

(Without prejudice or implication.)
