On Wednesday, July 13th, we will perform a reboot of Zoraï and Tryker AI service from 11:00 am to 11:10 am (Paris local time, GMT+2). The AI service handles NPC and mobs behavior for specific territories; a reboot of the AI, while not disconnecting you from the server, will cause all the NPCs and mobs to disappear, and make them repop progressively once the AI service resumes operations. Make sure you are not fighting, harvesting or chatting with an NPC at that time on these continents.

We are performing this small maintenance in order to clean-up some ghost entries (which don't affect the game - this is totally invisible to you) from the server's memory, which were created during the last invasion and not automatically cleaned. We are also currently developing a fix to prevent this issue from reappearing in the future.

sounds like a good premise for a player events.

We gather up a big group and get into position in Fount or some hard places in Tryker when it's totally empty of mobs ...

we wait ...

the AI engine comes back on and they pop ...

we all ran for our lives!

lol sounds like fun , though id suggest a change of venue ...hmmm Desert stock in Witherings ? , we all wait outside till the mobs vanish then rush in and camp the Kitin Larva spot , anyone who gets some (will that pop when the mobs return? , if not anyone who gets back out) is proclaimed err Master of the Reboot ?

I be less den shur dat de "ghost entries" wer totally invisible, heh. Frem Friday to Wednesday, large areas o' Atys wer off-limits to me an others as de server wer tryin to ram 3-5 times de data (shown next to de download line in connection window) inta our computers. Other spots wer absolutely normal as far as download mass wer concerned, an de problem disappeared after de reboot. When I sent in me first ticket, de response wer de typical "it must be your fault" like ya git when ya ask about error code 1 :P By de time it wer admitted dat de problem wer server-side, all de devs had gone home fer de weekend, ya know, when thar be more people playin', an thus a muchly higher likelyhood o' problems bein' discovered.

Not admittin' ya might be at fault, an leavin' yer customers in de lurch be a fair sloppy way to runs a ship.
