Nevrax has just added a new set of features to the Now In Test Section over on the official website. For your convencience, here's the full list of changes. Feedback appreciated!

Additional note from Xavier:
Xavier wrote: Also, since some of you were wondering how an internal release note of
more than 35 pages can translate in a public release notes of only a few
pages, I've added a verbatim sample of an internal release note item
(the one about high level herbivores), to allow you to see it yourself!
You can find his internal notes at the end of this posting.
[ I N T E R F A C E ]
  • The cosmetic option has been removed from the virtual desktop as it
    is currently an inactive feature.
[ F I G H T I N G ]
  • Named creatures respawn delay : In patch 71, we partially revamped the
named creatures of Atys to change their respawn delay from
'immediately!' to 4-8 hours (random) and to let them wandering around
instead of staying at the same location. However, high level groups now
have a hard time finding good challengers, since named creatures cannot
be used to gain experience efficiently anymore.

While we do not want to revert to the old behavior, as named creatures
are true individuals and chain-killing them wouldn't fit that purpose,
we still want to help a bit here. We will lower the respawn delay
to 2-5 hours (random). Also, to compensate the loss of high level
challenge for groups, we will modify 4 of the races currently wandering
on the high level areas, multiplying their HP and experience reward by
    5. They are all herbivores.
The affected creatures will be :
* Madakam :
o Matis : Grove of Confusion
o Zorai : Grove of Umbra, Knot of Dementia

* Shalah :o Fyros : Scorched Corridor
o Tryker : Bounty Beaches, Enchanted Isle

* Bolobi :o Tryker : Lagoons of Loria
o Matis : Upper Bog, Heretic's Hovel, Hidden Source

* Ploderos :o Zorai : The Void
o Fyros : Savage Dunes, Dunes of Exile, Outlaw Canyon

[ M I S C E L L A N E O U S ]
  • Changed destination name in teleporter window. Foreman have been
renamed as Overseer to fit the NPC title.
  • You can now see Kami and Karavan from a longer distance.
  • One of the two Karavan ship, at the Dune of Exil, is undergoing
a maintenance and has been removed in the meantime.
  • The Hoi-cho guard chief is back in his house.
  • Taskgivers name for Fraiders, Cuzans and Gibads have been changed
in order to be in a better adequation with the language of those tribes.
[ E M O T E ]
  • Some changes in some emotes, such as the 'suspicious' one, as it is
illogical for an homin to be suspicious to himself.
[ D I S P L A Y ]
  • Fix for NVidia users with their latest drivers.
[ R I T E S ]
  • Some incomplete rites, should not have been visible on the live version of the game. We have deactivated those 28 rites. For players who already fulfilled some of the pre-requisites, the pages will disappear from the encyclopedia.
[ E Q U I P M E N T ]
  • All piece of equipment (even light/caster armor and jewels), either
crafted or looted, now have pre-requisites you will have to match to be
able to equip them. All those equips have at most two pre-requisite
skills. You can see the pre-requisite by right-clicking on piece of
equipment then choosing 'info'. Please note that items bought, crafted
or looted prior to the introduction of this change to the live version
will keep their prerequisites (none for light/caster armor and jewels).

very interesting.. I'm sure it is the case but i better mention it anyway, the pre-req's for light armor and jewels should be obtainable and relevant for diggers and not just fighters/mages. So for example a lv200 digger should be able to equip the same stuff as a lv200 mage -)

but sounds good, will stop the uber-noob syndrome :D

Can we please get more information on exactly what the pre-reqs for jewels and light armor will be? It sounds like they're already determined.

I don't want to have to wait until the patch ;)

It would have been nice to discuss the requirements before they were decided, but oh well. It was a change I was looking forward to, just very curious on specifics.

He giveth, and He taketh away!

Does "disappear" mean hidden or deleted??
As in when these rites return will we have to do the tasks over again?
And why now? It was okay to release them, it was okay to reveal them, it was okay to mention which ones were active but now its not okay.

I understand that the original Rites process was find the "Rite Giver" and then have him tell you what tasks you need to accomplish and we've been doing it backwards for months now but I don't understand why entries we already have knowledge of need to be "disappeared".

You can't show me a box of chocolate, give me one piece, hide the box and then turn around and say "What chocolate??". That's just mean!

Please clarify.

Not realy 28 (to be removed) +12 Fully working isnt all of them , maybe the remainder will be patched to full rites at the same time ?

(Ive got 46 themes active atm)

That would rock and could be even possible explanation as any notes about content additions seem to make only into final patch notes. Also, it would not make any sense to leave some incomplete rites in game and 6 (or more) incomplete rites are just too many to forget by mistake.

Hope they would throw in some previously unknown rites too :)

If you like LA just to look good, there is no reason why you still can't use a lower quality set.

I think this was a fix long over due. I never liked that a level 20 player could use a set of 250 LA.
