Hello,

I am now downloading the free trail. Going to make a Kami friendly character and really excited about starting the game play!

One concern: Will this game be around much longer? I mean they filed chapter 11(?) in the courts and that looks bad...even scares off some new/potential players. So, what is the long term forcast for this game...honestly?

This time I will forget u r Kami friend (hhihi *evil grin*) but seriously some of us r here almost 1 year (even longer if u count Beta) and after some temporary problems IMO game is evolving in great direction. And here u can read Devs point of view:

In my opinion this game will be along for a while. I dont think it will crash any time soon. Yes they filed something equivalent to chapter 11, but they are moving in the right direction.

This is hard to say as I have not seen any official statement from Nevrax describing how their financial situation has been developed since chapter 11. They say that they have all intentions to continue for long, but could you expect them saying someting else.

If they start getting new subscriptions and maintain old player base by regular content updates, game will go on.

There has been some positive signals such as
- Nevrax hired new Executive producer who says "the investors in Nevrax are very patient and believe in the game and the team"
- Nevrax has bold plans for later this year such as Ryzom Ring that is not any small undertaking
- Chapter 11 seemed to cause lots of disruption within Nevrax and we were not seeing patches for long time. Now there has been multiple patches lately
- French chapter 11 is not as harsh as US one, I have heard
- Also, good signal is that Nevrax is still continuing after many months after chapter 11. I think it would have been forced to close down already if financial situation was really desperate
- There has been increasing number of new players after E3

So, nothing definitive about financial situation but it looks more promising than when Nevrax CEO addressed these issues in his letters first time (those are on Nevrax website) although risk clearly is there and it has surely driven off some current and prospective customers.

Don't worry about it. Forget it. Just play and enjoy the game for what it is now.
