Ryzom going Open PvP?

I expect to get flamed here, so if that is how it comes to be, so be it. I feel, however, that I need to ask a simple question, and get a simple answer, from someone in charge up top.
Is Saga of Ryzom headed for open pvp, or non- consensual pvp of any sort?
I know that we have the Prime Roots as an open PvP zone, as are the arena areas. I understand that you have just added 2 more areas, one of which is the Knoll of Dissent, and one other which name I cannot remember at this time. This is 2 more too many for my taste.
I do not like pvp. I do not engage in it voluntarily, except in VERY rare occassions, usually a duel with a fellow guild member, whom I trust and like. I have left other games BECAUSE they became pvp oriented, or made it clear that that was the direction in which they were going. I understand that there are those that enjoy pvp, and I feel that this game has ALREADY catered to that desire with the pvp areas that already existed, and those areas caused enough trouble for the non-pvp crowd that it has spawned very heated forum discussions in the past. And now, you go and push the pvp even more.
There are those of you out there that are going to say, "If you don't wanna pvp, stay out of the pvp areas." That's all well and good, but now they are starting to turn good hunting lands into pvp areas. When does it all stop? When they finally make ALL the areas pvp? When the capitol cities are pvp too? Tell me it's all good when YOUR hunting grounds are getting turned into pvp lands, and you don't wanna go pvp'ing tonight. I've been that route before, in other games, and all I'm waiting for right now is the appearance of the teenage ganker squads. And if you think it isn't gonna happen, guess again. We've seen it here, already, in the prime roots, and we've all seen it in other games. SWG. EQ. Ultima Online. Shadowbane. Every MMO that has PvP suffers from it. They LOOK for PvP games to populate. It's how they get their kicks. Heck, the lady in charge they just hired a while back has written about it, and I'd expect her to know what is about to happen. And it's gonna be hard to stay OUT of pvp areas when you need to travel THROUGH pvp areas to get to some other areas.
I don't like it when people make the statement I'm about to make, and it bugs me to be saying it now, because too many people use it as a false threat. But truly, understand, if this game goes any more PvP than it already is, I'll be stepping out. I don't like PvP games, and joined Ryzom because I loved the unique game system that it had, the promise that it showed, and the fact that I was NOT being forced, in any way, to PvP, unless I chose to do so. That choice is slowly disappearing.
Please, I beg you, do not do this. All it will do is attract anti-social elements to the game, and drive out those people who are here BECAUSE of the very social atmosphere that Ryzom currently has. People in this game typically HELP one another, sometimes to their own detriment. Bring on the pvp, and that will stop. People who have played for a long time, and sat through many trying times, will leave. Ryzom will become just like every other MMO out there, with the same expected lifespan: short.
Ok, let the flames begin. I know they are coming, so bring it on. I doubt I'll read them, anyway. I've said all I am going to about this subject.
