Gfunk bowing out (for now)

Unforunately this is not a rumor or an April Fools prank. At this point in time it is not financially viable for me to continue playing Ryzom. No I'm not leaving for another game! And I do plan on returning in the months to come.
The SHORT story:
Gfunk is broke. (Skip down to the signature :0P)
The LONG story:
Last month I incurred debt having to have my car fixed along with some medical bills from some minor surgery. I didn't get fired or anything :0), so I hope that once I can clear these bills I will be back on my feet and in Ryzom in no time. I'm going to be cancelling my Ryzom account, my cable internet, and my mobile phone services for hopefully only a couple of months. I will cancel Ryzom first and play until the account is closed, then cancel the others. Our guild website will be moved over to a server at my work, etc.
There are WAY too many people to thank for the good times to name names without leaving people out. I have been playing since Day 1 in Beta, I just don't think it's possible for me to name everyone so I will stick with the closest ones: my guild mates. Veni Vidi Vici was formed in April 2004 during Beta 1 of Ryzom and is still going strong today. A couple of weeks ago, I stepped down as guild leader of Veni Vidi Vici to allow myself more free time (totally unrelated to this post). So thanks most of all goes to the guild members of Veni Vidi Vici for the greatest of times in any game I have played.
I'm sorry if I haven't had a chance to meet you if you are newer to the game, I tried to be friendly and helpful to everyone that I came across :0). It has been my greatest pleasure serving you all, the community, and leading the many treks, raids, and events this past year. Remember I am planning on coming back, I just don't know how long it will be :0).
I may even get some cash for my birthday coming up from friends and family, who knows. July 22nd I'll be 23!
So.... from the very first moment I stepped foot on Atys' soil, the first incarnation of Veni Vidi Vici with beta members, the final PvP tournament of Beta 1 with me coming in second place melee (lvl 180 with a q100 pike), the final PvP tournament of Beta 2 in Matis Arena event I hosted, hours upon hours spent talking to Reiksha and Phaedros to get the beta client working in linux, RETAIL LAUNCH, The Unofficial Linux HOW-TO, to the first raid on Magestic gardens, Bounty Beaches, the Stand in the Nexus, countless treks leading homins to new lands, The Amazing Matis Race, world tours, Server merge event with fireworks, friendliness of the Windermeer and Arispotle Game Masters and Guides for enduring my countless tickets, the many guilds and members of the community that helped us out in our events, the dedication of the guild's officers and members, Gywidion - the new guild leader of Veni Vidi Vici....
I bid you all farewell. Good luck and be safe in your travels!
Sincerely,
Paul - grandma - Gfunk
