A tale of war

Black tears of sorrow, hearts filled with fear.
Hope is gone, nowhere near.

Gloomy dark and dreary roars.
Behold the spectres on the shores.

Eyes gazing into the darkness, what is there?
Something is breathing, they know it's near.

A homin falls, screaming, twitching.
Fingers on weapons nervously itching.

A rumbling roar, the ocean's moving.
A wave of phantoms onwards rolling.

Brave strong Homins! To your Arms!
Two towering waves collide to the sound of alarms.

A small Homins face, devoid of joy.
Whimpers of sadness comes from the little boy.

"Then what happens next?" he asks in fear.
"That's up to you", Grandpa says, "The war is soon here."

And another poem from the past. They've been piling up in My Documents for quite some time now. They're not very good, but I feel like posting them nevertheless :)

Winter's Sorrow

With winter came snow, with snow came sorrow,
The gloom made homins doubt tomorrow.

Bright stars on the nightly sky,
Darkness hiding all that's wry.

The spring of Hominkind came with deafening screams,
and newfound hope and wonderous dreams.

The beacon of light teared through the pitch black night,
'cause what but a newborn child could possess such light.

Ah, i posted in the wrong place. Could someone please put this in "Through a Homins Eyes"'? Thanks :)
