Every time I click on "I Agree" on the EULA to get into the game (I'm already registered for the trial) it gives me an error message saying "Error; shard is closed". What does this mean?

Today, it means there's server maintenance and a patch going on - there is a post in the Announcements section :)

EDIT: Apologies, in fact there isn't a post in the announcements section :( I'm sure I read a post about this, but I can't find it anymore...

It is posted in the feedback part of the forum.

Oh yes, thanks Mikos :)

Have to say I'm not sure about the new approach - I don't even visit the main site, just the forums... I guess I view the site as the sales tool, and the forums as the information tool - I wonder how many others are the same?

I usually go straight to the forums, by clicking through Ryzom.com, so I'll catch the news usually.

But then it seems all the news is in the "Feedback" section so even if you don't go to the main page it's available.

It would be nice if they still used the "Announcements" section but I think the forums are starting to get cluttered so maybe it's good they're trimming ti down.

I'd also like to see "The Saga" section compacted in the main list, so you have to click through to get to "Roleplaying," "Your Life on the Living Planet," and "Through a Homins Eyes"

That'd help clean up the main forum list even more.

I am similar, won't be noticing important announcements at main page only.
