Ryzom

Just curious if anyone who roleplays is playing the Fyros card? You know, how the whole Kitin swarm is basically their fault etc. Seems like most of the races in Ryzom have some tasty little RPing aspect to them...well besides the Matis.

Fyros have the whole Great Dragon theme. Trykers have the slavery backstory. Zorai have the scary swamp dweller/kami wannabe thing. Matis have the....ummm history of great gardening. WTH?

I play Fyros and I feel complied to kill every Kitin I come across

Just because you don't understand the Zorai culture doesn't mean that we are scary swamp dwellers. In fact there isn't even a swamp in Zorai lands.

Actually we have a history of imperialism and will be happy to introduce you to the joys of servitude once again. Especially those pesky little Trykers.

The Fyros weren't enslaved by the Matis, so using the words "once again" is a bit off. Not only that, but the Matis don't exactly believe the Fyros *should* be "slaves" per se. They believe that each race has a role to play in Atys... it's just that they felt the Trykers should be doing the grunt work.

I play the "Fyros Card". My character is not very trusting of the Fyros, but realizes it was a mistake. The whole searching for the Great Dragon is just a bunch of yubowash that is wasting their time. If they couldn't withstand an onslought of Kitin or a Great Fire, then what makes them so sure they could kill the Great Dragon? -_-

Actually from what I can tell (only played for a few days, only really read much about Ryzom over the last week), Matis also have a severe distrust of the Kami and magic in general. That hasn't stopped me from making a Matis mage... know your enemy.

I've only been on the newbie isles so far, since I restarted my character due to some silly choices for skills, but gotta ask IS there RP on the mainland?

I've not seen a lot of RP going on, but figure that might just be newbie land.

Well guys there are boards for RPing too. Please use them! It can be great fun.

Find a roleplaying guild. It's about the only way you can roleplay in MMO's.
