This really is a story that made me really upset. :(

I simply cant get over this and i feel so sad for the people involved.

It kinda makes you realise that we (ryzomers) really have got something good here and the Blizzard giant is going to fall to its knees.

If you read further down in the thread, you'll see someone has mentioned that a similiar thread has been posted usings similiar subject matter. (I skipped to page 29) So the validity may be in question.

But you're right, we do have it good here. Our CSR's actually talk to us. Something that doesn't happen in many games.

I read them sometimes, just to give me a better appreciation of what we have here :)

That was a quite lengthy thread. What was conclusion? Couple of rounds emails looked like just canned responses without more than 1 second consideration from staff.

Why, if he has legitimate reasons for using 3rd party software, did he (or his helper) not ask about them in the first place, rather than using them until the (inevitable) ban? It seems a little suspicious to me as, normally, people are very cautious before getting the disabled involved in these sort of things due to the disappointment if things go wrong.

'twas just a gentle dig at ali =)
i read it all and to be honest i think u have to be a little cynical with stories like that, it may be as described, or just an attempt by someone to bot with a cover story to tug on the heart strings.. who knows..

There is nothing quite like MMOs to help you develop a healthy amount of distrust toward humanity in general.

*goes in old fart mode* ;)
I miss the "old" internet, no pesky WWW, all MMO's where text based and spam on usenet and by email was a complete unknown.
