As proposed on a thread on the main forums that was greeted with some interest, I am proposing the following:

A return to Start Isle for one weekend.

Should a major event occur on Atys, all Homins should report to their stations. If its a nice quiet weekend I think it would be nice to give the Onyx a rest and let the KT in FF go back up. Be young again, come and have fun!

The concept is a simple one, make a new character of ANY RACE and stay in newbie isle for the whole weekend!

This will be great fun as I personally feel the fast dinging and early levels are fun and it will be great to run as a large group of Homins.

We will not stay EQUAL for long as the wise/dedicated will rise to the higher levels much faster.

Spread word IG as the majority of players don't read the forums.


Some suggestions:

- Try everything, much will have changed since some of you were last there.
- Come back and post your findings (Good and bad) Here!
- Use all the knowledge you have gained to see how fast you can progress.
- Stick at it, I found it very tempting to jump back to a High Level character because it was frustrating being killed by a lvl 20 mob.


If you need a good reason to do it ...... Think of the new players that will becoming (and they will be coming!) this is your chance to make a difference to their first impression.

Most of all its great fun. When you return to you main character, I think you will have a better appreciation of what it took to get there. Its so easy to forget the fun of the journey when you hit a wall of frustration.

Oh and tell your friends (the ones that don't play ), it will be the best time to show them how great Ryzom really is!

To the HIGHEST verified (screen shot needed and must be still on a starter isle at the end of the weekend) level in each branch:

Crafter: 5000 basic/fine ql200 mats (Player can specify type and mix, but not mat name)
Harvester: Ql200 MQL/HQL (might be full HQL) Light armour with Focus.
Melee: Ql200 HQL Heavy ANY colour (Possibly ANY race!) with HP boost.
Range: Ql200 MQL/HQL (might be full HQL) Light armour with HP
Offensive Magic: upto Ql250 Elem Amp - Crafter Sourced
Defensive Magic: upto Ql250 Healer Amp - Crafter Sourced
I think thats all the branches covered.

1 million dappers to the best all-rounder (Level based on an average of your highest skill in each of the 4 main branches).

In the event of a tie - all verified characters will be allocated a number and /random will determine who gets the prize.

(AMPS, will have to sourced, so I will offer alternative prize if I am unable to get a good one for you)

I will ask a CSR to indepentantly verify your charater is still on Starter Isle and ask for one to be present at the tie break decider.

*** I may, if I am feeling evil, ask Soulsnatcher to verify the birthdate of you character, if you are a Winner! Be afraid, you get your prize but this might be one secret I would be tempted to tell ***

we could do a "search my Alt" quest too, just tell your Friends/Guildies
where u are but not your name and let them find u by questioning through Regionchat(eg. what race is your guildleader etc.)
also a hide and seek or a tag game would be fun

Verification by creation date would be far to hard, I would have to be nice to Souls, find him in a good mood and get him to break some of the GM rules (Like any of those things are ever going to happen )

Like everything, its a bit of fun. I think the prizes are worth winning and everyone has an equal chance of getting them.

As my true intent is to get feed back about the Start Isle and add a bit of fun with it, I am not bothered who wins.

Anyway - if a few players are running around Start Isles for the next two weeks, this can only be a good thing *wink*

I could easily use my Level 25+ across all skills Alt but I will be starting from 0 Saturday Morning, cas thats just the way I am!

This sounds like sooo much fun. Is there any special isle we should start on, cause if we are all scattered across the board....I vote for Tryker cause I have to many Matis toons as is..I cannot wait for this. It sounds like soo much fun.

Bummer.. so if a char is already past lvl 100 in the starter island, they can't participate??

All Start Isle are vaild - would suggest picking a race you have not played before, for the fun of it, but thats just me!

I know someone who has a lvl 80 on starter isle

Sounds great. I loved the idea when it was originally posted. I have recently been back to starter island to mess with some alts and it was surprisingly good fun. Fast dings and 1 kill to clear DP was awesome

Sounds like you are putting up all the prizes yourself which is also pretty decent of you. Just shout if you want any ql200 mats, I'll gladly dig 1000 towards the prize to help out.
