this is waht ive found in the rewiev about SoR=P
-- An all-together new dynasty concept. Ryzom introduces the concepts of natural ageing, children and ancestral skills.
-- As a character progresses in Ryzom they will grow old. Their useful lifetime can be extended artificially, but the older they get the harder that becomes and the more effort it requires.
-- Characters in Ryzom can engender offspring. These ?children? inherit the name and fame of their parent and their parent's belongings but not necessarily their skills.

Yeah, Nevrax aimed for the stars when they released this game, but only got a few feet off the ground. However, the jump they did make was with style, jordan-esque even

Agreed but at least they aimed high and jumped
The rest of the gaming world seems to think that us gamers will be happy with reboxed same old same old .... points at the last-ability of WoW. Comercially wonderful, they made more than enough in the first weeks to cover there costs, but the players didn't really get much more for their money than than a repackaged 'old' story. I don't think the same can be said for Ryzom. May not be the greatest money maker, but it fresh and new..... when it catches up content wise, which it will, it will beat the rest hands down.

There is one, going on now.

Jena is coming...or so the rumors say. The Kami and Karavan are preparing for war. The leaders of the homin races are making their own statements in response to the situation.
If by "content" you mean events and story, and you still think Ryzom lacks that content, you are simply not paying attention. Or, I'm just easily entertained/satisfied and don't know what the frell everyone's going on about.

Maybe she meant to say:
"I want a story that I dont have to experience in 8 years?"

No im sure she means like the Nexus event we had where we was given titles or the week long kitin raid, events that was somthing a little more then just player based and really got us all involved
