[feedback] [dev] Skoff and Heffah moved

Hello,

Feel free to comment on this feature :
During the named bosses revamp, which went live in patch 71, Skoff and Heffah were moved by mistake from the Fleeting Garden and the Savage Dunes to the Grove of Confusion and the Scorched Corridor respectively. Since their new region do not fit their level, we will move them back to their original position.
Any thoughts, positive or negative feedback are welcome !

Note : Please have a look here to let us know what you prefer regarding the way we handle feedback threads.

I like bosses moving. Running into something you didn't expet adds a little excitement.

However, putting a lvl100 mob in a 250 region is just sort of... sad.... makes you feel for the poor pup :(

I agree to move them back, but keep shuffling other bosses around to appropriate regions. I wouldn't even mind higher bosses coming down a step in region lvl.... but I imagine not all agree there....

To begin with it seems rather strange to be asking the players whether errors should be corrected.

I should mention that when I submitted a ticket concerning this I was told by the GM that the problem with Heffah was that either our team or other mobs in the area had killed Heffah and that it was merely respawning. It was suggested that this was neither a bug nor an error. Funny thing was that the respawn occurred while were engaged in fighting a Mighty Kipee and it occurred right on top of us.

Of course you should repair your mistakes! They should not be allowed to reach the live game in the first place. They should have been picked up by the in-house testers. Asking if errors should be fixed is symptomatic of the lack-a-daisycal sloppy manner in which Nevrax seems to operate.

I agree with the previous post. Either this is a kind of automated script (posting bot :p ) that parses a list of TODO items from somewhere and automatically generates a "feedback" thread so players can 'post' regardless of the actual content of the TODO item or I can't understand what kind of comment or feedback you want us to give.

Maybe next feedback thread we'll be
"[dev][feedback][Client crashes] we changed xxx by mistake and when player does yyy computer crashes. Please comment and give feedback"
'well, fix it'. feedback given

What's wrong with having these threads open to give feedback and suggestions on related issues?

Or to give input on exactly how we'd like to see the obvious error fixed?

And if no one has anything related at all to say other than "fix it" just let it stay empty. If notthing else, it's a good indicator of what they're working on.

There does need to be better communication between the GM/CSR team and Nevrax. I realize that not one person is going to know everything but there are times when the CSR's seem misinformed or diconnected. I'm guessing the "Known Bugs/Issues/Dispositifs non Documenté" white board gets pretty hard to read.

You are right here, and I expressed myself badly. My point is that it did not seem clear to me the first time I saw one of the feedback threads (the one with "boss mobs were dropping 1 mat and not 60") I couldn't answer any other thing rather than "fix it". In my opinion, they should be more verbose, explain exactly what kind of feedback they need, and what exaclt the isse is like in old FBT polls.

"Boss mobs were dropping 1 mat rather than 60,we put it back to 60"
or
"We are trying to balance the loot dropped by boss mobs taking into account difficulty, risk and reward. 60 seems to be too generous, etc, etc."

"Skoof was in GoC, we put it back were it was"
or
"In order to give more realism to game, we are changing move patterns and paths of somenamed mobs that can go outside of their 'default' zone"

See what I mean?

During the named bosses revamp, which went live in patch 71,...

Well, this is another example. I do not recall the release notes saying anything about a Named Boss revamp. If you are going to fix these 2, why not explain what you did and why you decided to do it?

Thanks in advance,

Noin.

Let's hope the patch notes will be more complete and verbose from now on, as Jessica stated, meaning (that they will do their best so) no undocumented changes will go on the live server.
