Ryzom

Basically from reading the forums for the last few days, I am supporter of ryzom was, but am going to make the following suggestion......

-Add potions
-Add named 'widget of the random beast' drops that lay on the group and can be picked up.
-chests oh must have a chest in the game
-Remove all the migration and mob AI
-Make the mobs static and just like every other game ever produced
-we need trolls (ah I think we have them already)
-Make all zones except towns PvP
-Add teleport spells
-When I kill people they should drop ears for my 'I pwnd you collection'
-Remove the stanza system its way to complicated
-Add standard spells, but I want a different on each level with loads of wiz-bang effects, that kill the mobs instantly
-Make it possible to walk everywhere unharmed and only allow mobs to attack if you attack first
-If you plan to hold an event personal visit the homes of each subscriber and wait until its convient for them, then tell them the exact plot line and only leave after they full understand and know what will happen based on all their possible actions.
-Make all race lands equal in everyway, no one should have any advantage in anyway. (oh but leave all the advantaged in the land I choose, thats only fair)
-Ensure that there is a mission that is given to each player the moment the char is created, that guides them to the very end of the game.
-Make all mobs regardless of level soloable by a lvl 1 char.
-Don't promise to add anything new to the game this will only raise expectations and create disappoint if there is a delay.
-Provide a feedback method that allows players to request new stuff (Well stuff from other games actually, but we don't want anything different or unique do we), ensure you have a 100 free development staff work on each of these changes as they MUST be added the day after request or the requester will quit and go play XYZ game that is 1/2 the price and has no bugs and 10 million players, however please keep the forums open for them as they will want to contiune to complain about how bad the product was and why they left, etc)
-Remove all grind from the game, I wont define grind but it has to be removed
-Allow my char to gain XP while I am not on-line, I wouldn't want to feel I was left behind or anything.
-Provide a section so I can critise the company and it product, I pay a sub so it my right to be rude and ill mannered
-Under no curcumstance have any downtime at all patches should be delivered and installed to my house while I am not online (if I am online 24/7, please deliver an updated machine to my house, while you pluging it in and switching it on I have the right to be rude to you, I pay you wagers after all don't I)
-Have a marco system built in to the game so I can level my char while playing a different game, this is important because all the other player are leveling while not logged in so its only fair that I can get an advantage.
-I should be able to get any item in the game when I want it, if this is not possible I will stamp my feet and scream and scream till I am sick
-I have the right to side track any theard I like, but only people who agree with me are allowed to post afterward.
-If I express my opinion, anyone who doesn't agree is stupid (surely they know this!)
-Oh I want personal attention 24/7 on everything, 5 sec response times are too slow, and you better give me the answer I want to hear, because I don't like to be wrong and if I am wrong, it not my problem, its you that is stupid, didn't you realise that!


When you have done all of the above, I will request a new game that I want because the above game will be boring and just like the other one I stopped playing because it was a grind.

No .... this is not sarcastic or ironic - I really do want this implemented!

Then I can look for a new game, and know that I wont be followed by the 'must have it now, instant generation that have no manners and bad attitudes'. They will be happy because the will have their perfect game, won't they?

The rants have certainly got out of hand the past few days. It's unfortunate because it ends up causing truly constructive feedback to be lost in all the ranting.

The typical, "this sucks, that sucks" posts don't help anything. However, neither do the "ryzom is perfect, shut up" posts.

Telling us that the game sucks is hypocritical. If you really thought it was that bad, you wouldn't be playing it after so long. The people constantly posting how bad things are need to take the time to consider how to improve things and take the time to provide this as feedback instead of just saying how bad it is.

At the same time, people that shoot every new idea down arbitrarily and seem to think Ryzom is perfect are a bit delusional, in my opinion. No matter how good Ryzom is or how good it gets, it can always be better and there's nothing wrong with wanting it to be better. Sure, people don't always agree on what "better" means, but the only way to progress is to bring forth the ideas and discuss them.

I've made a ton of posts about things I found could be improved in the game. That doesn't mean I think it 'sucks' or am pushing for it to be a clone of some other game. Heck, if I didn't like Ryzom, I sure wouldn't put the hours in that I do, both in the game and out (website and forums).

I think people on both sides of the fence need to settle down a little.

Neun, if everyone gives up on the ideals that David and Nevrax had for Ryzom during its creation and early life then that will happen.

However painful it is to come to the forum; read all the stuff about fishing and xp while offline, etc, etc, then post your opinions and get called names and flamed it's the only option. To not do it is to give up. There is some statistic that a tiny percentage of people who play a given game actually post on the forum, and i think that holds true for here as well. I know a lot of people who play, and have been playing since beta/release and like the game as is. But they barely visit the forum, let alone post.

Forums are such a cr@p way of judging the players feelings. It's a vocal minority who post here, be it fans, whiners or whatever. You have to believe that Nevrax are aware of this and wont change the game so radically from a handful of peoples comments.. (note to Devs: communicate with players ingame not here if you want to get a broader feeling of everyone’s mood or opinion)

So, what am i saying?? dunno really, just rambling. maybe u can find some meaning there, me, I'm more interested in getting home and rescuing a new tryker player who wants to see Zorai

Amusing, but, on a few points

Consumables would be nice as both a drain on excess dapper in the economy and to aid soloers a little without ruining the group dynamic. We had them with the easter eggs, it'd be nice to see them implemented.

No, we don't want that, the Aen armour already p*sses me off. However, just as animals drop parts and primitives drop jewels, wouldn't it make sense for the bandits to, occasionally at least, drop some armour or weapons?

Again, in principle I agree that this isn't a mob/treasure hunting game. But the chests at the bandit camps might hold something, occasionally. That might be nice

Ah, the spectre of balance
I think things should be 'balanced' but that doesn't mean equal in every regard. If one land has one thing easy, another should have something else easy. The only exception to this, I would say, should be Zorai, who are low population. People need encouragement to play Zorai.

No, but they could have better explanatory and lore giving missions on the islands.
