I say take the dive. Hell, I barely have enough money, but after flipping through a few reviews and the storyline I decided to go for it. And so far I loves it. I've even got 2 of my friends/coworkers to buy it so far :D

I am no hardcore gamer. Nor was I lauding the idea of subscription based gaming at all. And while I can barely convinced myself to play "World of Warcraft" by year end, I was greatly struggling against putting enough time/money to involve in gaming of this genre.

Ryzom surprised me.

The game itself deserves much more recognitions than what it is getting now. IMHO, the game is under published, under marketed and under sold.
One of the best thing is that the players I've met (in Forum or in Game) are both mature and helpful towards building a worldwide gaming experience.

Don't believe in me, try for yourself.
