I notice that many crafted items are marked up 1000% or sales worth or even 5000%.

I sell mats at 200% the price, what do others do? Maybe the mats should be priced like crafted items?

depends on the grade. i generally sell choice at 150%, excellent 200-350% and supreme 500%+ depending on the stats. Of course some mats are more valuable than others, and supreme zun/big/oath can and should be a lot more expensive than supreme pha/horny/beckers ;)

selling

q250 Forest mats
PR 200 - 210

at 200% - 220%. All choice. Exe is a bit more but not much.

This is just an info. No orders :p
The local merchant can give you an overview of the
mats on sale. First come, first served :D

Filthern,

mats sold at merchants are mostly only good for training crafting. With 200% markup for raw materials crafter will lose a lot per crafted item when item is sold to npc.

1000% - 5000% markups are for items made of selected materials. Usually self harvested / hunted or contracted from other players.

It also depends if you are selling PR mats or regional mats.

As an indication i am selling choice jungle mats including zun amber, buo fiber, big shell, caprice seeds and mitexi bark Q200 for 3k per mat. This is just under the merchant price +100% (1527 dappers).

I dont often get complaints of being too expensive and like to think of myself doing the community a favour ;)

basicly its all in its perspective imo

1/3k for choice if u craft nice items out of it to sell: very cheap

2/ if u use it (like me) to grind ur way up i can consider it a bit expensive :)

bottemline: i grind millions a day :x

imo...

If you are selling harvested mats to someone that willing to pay for them, you don't really need to know why they are buying them. As long as you are happy with your price

For instance...

Choice mitexi bark i think is fairly useless. I think you can make better bullets than weapons by using it. However does the person who harvests it and sells it on ask whether the crafter is going to make bullets or weps and then adjust the price accordingly?

I have a feeling after just writing this i have completely gone off topic and completely missed the point (LOL) but i will post anyway

EDIT- this was a response to point 1 and adressing the question, what if the mats made a bad item? Would the mats be less valuable?

My intension with this thead is to get a feeling of the market, and what you guys thinks of this (mats, value and so).

I mean, i know it takes alot of efford and mats (dappers) to reach lvl 250 in amp craft, but is there other reasons a q250 amp will cost 10-20 mill dappers?

Im a noob, i want to know.
