Guild Fame Progress

What, exactly, is the Guild Fame Progress % at the bottom of the fame window?
Is it the % of your personal fame that contributes to guild fame?
Is it how much you have contributed to a total guild fame point?
The questions are flying.
From observations, I'd say it is a guage of how much one's personal fame contributes to guild fame.

The officers of a guild contribute much with their personal fame. But the regular member also does his/her bit with their fame too.
There's also the fame with other tribes ie Green Seed (or whatever). It all counts to fame.

Yes but none of that answers the question as to what the percentage at the bottom of the screen actually indicates.

Once you get yourself to 100% that goes away, one guild fame point is added. These points can later be used to purchase guild items/skills.

Er.. to my information the percentage at the botton is for new members. It needs 5 days to get to 100%, once it is there they get the full guildfame to their personal fame. Before this they get only a percentage from it.

And therein lies the problem:
Is it as vguerin describes or as shrike? Both make sense other than we have 3 kami guild fame and no one has hit 100 yet.

Actually it currently is says "Guild Fame Progress 74%" on my fame window to be exact.

I also thought represents progress the guild has made towards a new fame point. I remember seeing the percentage climb and once it hit 100% it would reset and it would start over.
However, I didn't have a lot of time in beta to study this. It should be easy enough to confirm after a few days.
