Sooo I'm trying the free trial!

Hello everyone!
I thought I'd check out the free trial for this game, give it a shot. Sometimes it's the small and less hyped games that turn out to be the shining gems, usually got the best communities at least.
However, I've played, or at least tried out, most mmorpgs out there. Sadly I never get any "wow factor" when trying out a new game nowadays, and for each game I try I grow more and more impatient

I want to meet some people fast and get into a game fast, not go through hours of figuring the basics out and hours of reading stuff, that just turns me off very quickly now
So I was wondering if there was anyone who could be my personal guide in-game. Not just answer simple questions, but
really show me the ropes so that I can quickly get out of the beginner area and see what the game is all about. So far I've really just logged in and poked around a little bit (
little bit), made one tryker (cutest things I've seen in a mog) and one matis. If you think you can get me hooked on the game just let me know in here and we can meet in game at some point...(before trial ends at least

)
.

Don't mind Vut, he's just a grumpy old sourpuss.
Send a tell to me in game /tell Jyudas and I'll see if I can help you out a bit.

There is alot of good info out there to make your time on Atys go smoother. The main thing I tell everyone thats new is to decide what you want to be when you grow up. Make that your primary focus and work it... when what you want to be requires a teammate you do not have, work on the other skills you'd like to have.
Being multiclassed has benefits, but taking too much time from your main skills will not give you as much a feeling of progressing.

Best suggestion to you? Join a helpful guild.
I played solo for a week or so when I started, and was doing ok, but my gaming experience and progress shoot up 10 folds after I joined a guild.
Actually, pretty much all guilds are pretty helpful in SoR, I reckon. Ask around, they'll be yer huckleberry.

Thanks, I hope to have time tomorrow so will be looking for people then
And it usually takes me a while before I join a guild. I have never left a guild I've joined in any mmorpg, I always make sure to pick the right one.

Totally understandable. Plenty of people will be willing to help you out without joining their guild, so just ask around or contact probably any of us you see here. You can take your time getting to know people and guilds and see what kind you're looking for.
Good luck and looking forward to meeting you!

I'd help ya but I'm a Zorai. Plus I might try and train you in the good side of the Force (the Kami) and to stay away from the bad side (the Karavan).

Trykers aren't the easiest to play. However, as soon as you get of newbie island, hang out a bit at Fairhaven Stables. Lots of ppl there usually.
