Ryzom

I've not know Neun for a long time... just a month or so is all, but from when I met him till now, I've been nothing but impressed. I had a discussion with a few people about Neun, and his posts, and gameplay. That sparked some interest for me.

I dont know how the topic came up, but we had all noticed a lot of the same things. He never gripes, nor grumbles. His posts are always optimistic and invigoratingly refreshing. He is very generous and kind in-game, never selfish or arrogant. He plays with passion. He seems to know way too much about the game, and is very very very dedicated to Ryzom and its success.

Is he just an Uber-Fan? One who has found a precious gem in a pile of rocks that wants to protect it and keep it's value?

Is he a GM? Or a Guide? (there is also speculation with this and Gfunk... but I'll not go there) Does he work for Neverax? Does he own Neverax? Does his dad own Nevrax?

The suggestion even came up that he might be David.... very ineresting.

But it does appear that he has a vested interest in Ryzom. And I enjoy playing with this fine Homin, and reading his splendid posts.

So, give it up for Neun. Whomever he may be.

Neun is probably the closest thing Atys has to a philosopher. Personally I don't know whether to join him in his philosophy or whether to disown him as mad. Right now I stand back and enjoy.

Who he is ? A Tryker in love with Atys, fellow Homins and most especially his lovely Seren.
If you're asking what he is... I think the best definition there is would be the list of nicknames he added to his sig. All of them are a part of Neun, a side of his personality. The only thing is you'll have to decipher them

I am just a humble digger in the Lakes, that likes to craft a bit.

I am NKoS and hope one day my dream of being SoET will come true.

I have no vested intrest in the game, finacially and am in no way related to 'Nevrax' or its employees (AFAIK).

I am not a GM or a Guide, although if I had more time I would consider it.

I just found this little game on a coverdisk .... I installed linage II 'The next big thing' at the time and played it for about 1 hr.... was so unimpressed.

I loaded Ryzom, spent about 1 or 2 months exploring starter isle (Matis). Made loads of IG friends, chatted to the GM/Guilds, asked questions ... basically took the game to pieces by playing it. Everytime I thought I had it sussed, I found something new to do, or a new/better way to do something i had already done. Its been like that ever since.... Each time I play I find that someone knows a little piece of the puzzle that when I add it to what I already know the world changes, just a little.

I have seen many players come and go, I have good friends that I see at all the silly times of day that I play, its very rare that I am 'alone' in game and even when I try and hide, someone always seems to find me. (Guess I like being found to much.)

Its a different world, one in which you can actually make a difference to another players enjoyment.

As everthing in game can be obtained when you know how.... I attach very little to things or dapper. I know how to make 1 mill dappers in about 30 mins to 1 hour ... so I don't need dapper. I have helped many people when they started out, that they tend to remember me when they are famous, yep I have been out leveled by loads of people, even ones that started long after I did.

Its sometimes hard to be positive all the time and trust me, I have done some bad things and hurt people I care about IG ofcouse.

I like the roleplay aspect and tend to 'stay in character' as much as possible, however as Neun is based on the 'perfect' me, with non of my real life failings... its not that hard. (I would give my last pound to someone who I thought needed it more than I did, no beggers please)

So there you go, I am passionate about the game because they are a little guy that has big ideas and have done something 'different'. I am passionate about the community, cas even the 'bad ones' have good points

Guess after playing games for 20+ years you know when you have found something worth a bit of extra time and effort, so far they (Nervax) have kept to their side of the bargin and delivered ... Yes its been rough the last 2 months ... but I can see the efforts of their labours.

As of David, I like his story ... its different, its refeshing and even if some of my guesses on where its going are right .... it will still be fun to see it through to the end

I have known neun since the open beta and whilst our paths cross less now than they did in the beta,he is one of the many good people that make up this comunity and thats what makes for me a game worth playing. You are quite correct in saying that he is a nice bloke and we we do meet up he is always cheerfull,for me he is as much a part of atys as Jena,the Kami and the karavan.

Well since Ive known Neun now in RL for 18 years, a more dedicated Ryzom player you will not find.

I can assure you he doesnt work for Nevrax, he just has a lot of passion for the game.
I wouldnt class him as a fanboi like some other ppl I see posting here because he sees my point of view in relation to content and wont whitewash over it.
Hes more lilkely to point out to Nevrax that there losing dedicated players like myself and what in his opinion they need to do fix it.
