Fun with Melee (and apparently, multiple bars setup)

How many of you have a whole bar of specialize stanza just for melee?

In the early days, all I have was proably one attack with almost max Increase Damage (ID), some Accurate Attack (AA), high enough for me to hit the mob I am fighting, and have hp and stam cred to balance it, plus another modified version with dodge credit for a "free" hit. That's it.

But now, oh boy.

I have whole bar devoted to meleeing. Some for sword, some for pike, and of course the necessary life saving spells (self heal, melee shield, invuln, speed run).

For melee stanza, I have one where I dont use any hp or stam at all, or low enough that my regen rate pretty much compensate for it. I would tweak the Acurate Attack (AA) of this skill base on what I am going to be hunting. This skill hit for very low dmg, but it's my default melee skill to use while tanking, if there're nukers on my team to do the damage.

Then I have one where I would do max AA. This is my "get a hit in!" skill.

I have one with max ID, high AA, and high Bleed for uber slasing damage, when I am using a sword.

I have one with pretty high Ignore Armor (IA), decent ID, and high enough AA to hit the mob I am fighting with, for when I am using a pike.

I have one that uses only stam and just a wee bit hp.

I have one that uses only hp and a wee bit of stam.

I have one that aimed for the head that I'll throw in randomly to try to stun the mob.

I have one with dodge credit for a free hit.

I have one with parry credit for a free hit.

I have one with dodge AND parry credit for a huge SUPER HIT. lol.

Anybody else do this?

I use a low comsumption stanza + aims + dodge/parry atack. The action bar is all melee alright, but i change the stanzas a lot since i like to multiskill, although that setup is always there, as the auras, powers etc...

Do either of you use Feint at all and could vouch for it's usefulness or lack thereof?

Feint, if you use it you don't do damage. You get a message in the system info, 'you succesfully feinted' or something close to that. Feint never fails too. After that the 'After feint' opens to use. That's all I have seen when using it.

Pretty useless.. I have only tested it solo though, if it would be anything, I'd say it's the reverse of a taunt. Giving up the MOBs attention to the other fighter with 2000 more hp for example. Only speculation though, haven't tested it teamed.

-- Edit --

Forgot to add, I have only 1 melee bar. And I change my stanzas often. :)

So.... if it never fails... does it count as a melee skill? if i join a high lvl hunt, i can get a feint in... and do I get xp?

oh yea... and i only use like 1/3 of a flippin bar for flippin melee :)

I use 2 Bars for Mele :D
I use 2 bars for Magic
I use 5 bars for harvesting
I use 1 bar for crafting

I would really like to see

1.) Ability to have more than 1 bar up at same time (2 would be fine)
2.) Give me some more bars :p

I have 1 melee bar, 1 healer bar, 1 elemental bar, 1 Matis harvest bar, 1 PR harvest bar, 1 Matis crafting bar, and 1 non-Matis crafting bar. Several of the bars have common actions (invulnerability, speed, self-heal, etc.).

I wish you could copy/move actions from one bar to another more easily.
I also wish new actions you buy would go to the bar you were currently on (rather than bar 1).
