My story as a harvester

Allow me to share my experiences as a harvester...

Shortly after I had gained a certain proficiency in melee i decided that foraging was my next interest to pursue

However as a novice digger i knew that my technique was all wrong, thing weren't going right and i generally got frustrated with the source. Sometimes i found that i ended up with nothing, othertimes i got something but it was so badly damaged due to my novive action i had no choice but to throw it away!!

Thankfully i met 2 of the nicest people to help me. They were Lienchang and Rushin. They took me in as an apprentice and they were my mentors. They taught me how caring for the source rather than abusing it would always serve in your favour.

So lienchang showed me the ways of the jungle, where the materials were hidden, where the materials were guards by the beats of atys, and where to run to should we ever have trouble. Rushin also showed me the respective ways of Prime Roots.

I think ultimately i fell in love with the jungle which is why my jungle proficiency excelled and my Prime Roots lagged. I am still grateful for Rushin's teaching, Prime Roots has some of the most hostile creatures i have seen and without Rushin's guidance i would have died in there. She taught me how all the animal's have certain aggrevation thresholds and how that you cant get too close to some. Or on the other hand how some are blind as a bat (like the tyrancha) so that you could grab them by the tail if you were quick enough.

Nowadays i dig alone in the lost valley of the void. I have learned all about caring for the sources and still have some more to learn. I am very grateful to my mentors and will never forget the time they gave up for me

As of today, the cycle has gone a full turn. I met Nerriah of the Protectors of Atys. She is a learner like i was, if not more experienced! However i shall take her on as my apprentice and pass on the lessons i was taught by my mentors.

She is a fast learner so i fear our time together is short. I will hopefully have a great influence on her digging ability and teach her how a Zorai can dig yet keep in harmony with the kami ways.

I look forward to the good times we will spend together

sadly she still has a lot to learn ;) (i was fine btw, few scratches.. nothing to worry about!)
