Hey all,

I am downloading the game at the moment. I was wondering if there was any suggestions that you folks have for character creation and what to do. I heard this is a great mmorpg community(more interested in that than anything else) and one of the reasons I will be leaving WoW if that's true. Any suggestions/tips/etc would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

hehe MATIS are best there lots of us and we rocking the tree tops all night long.....
now thats out the way dont pick fight at all for ya starter pack as you can fight anyway and get skill points to use.
My self I would do.. 1 mage, 1 craft, 1 harvest, but in the end it dont matter to much as its a open skill tree and you can do anything you want given enough time
Starter Island is ok for a day at most but to get a real feal for the game seek out coming to the mainland and meeting your fellow homins.

I like matis and tryker both And I strongly second what basic said about getting magic,craft,harvest since fight you just need something to wack those yubos

For best usage of skill points, select magic, crafting and foraging starter packs. Those skill trees require 50 or so skill points to start. By selecting starter kit for those you safe 150 skill points.

Matis & Fyros are most populated races. Zora is least populated.

Game is much easier when you get good equipment. Weapon & magic amplifiier are most important in the beginning. Look for choice stuff.

There is no need to stick to lvl 20 at starter island. However, gaining those first lvls is easier at starter island. Finding good equipment, advice and teams is easier in mainland. Mainland is much more interesting place too!

You can create one character for each race to check out what you like most. All races are equal in attributes. They have some race specific skills but you can learn other races skills too.

just want to add also that at the moment theres freeking loads of Items max dmg swords and armor and stuff to buy at Matis starter island i was quite shocked to see it all

Tryker is not the easiest to play as harvester, just a warning.
