Just one word: amazing!
Thank you for providing in-game support you can talk to, not being afraid to approach. Thank you for not providing your support with floatsheets to copy into the chat. Thank you for treating us as humans, not as numbers.
If anyone remembers Rubies Of Eventide, I used to be GM there, before it went broke. We used exactly the same approach to players, and I considered it normal for online support. Then I started to play EQ2, and... urgh. I don't know who these guys are, but they're floatsheeters. And... this sucks. I am playing a *game*, I don't want advise how to run a business.
Maybe it's just me. Maybe it was just this single GM here. But you made my day, and a heartfelt thanks for that.
(Hey, who said that criticizing is always a bad thing?

I agree, the support team for Ryzom is the best I have seen. When I was running my events, they were always there to help and support me with them, even be the judges in my compos
They are also very friendly and nice people, I can see they have a passion for what they do which I consider as important

In my opinion ALL the staff here is VERY nice and VERY helpful, I always get help within a few mins of sending a ticket and they are so nice =)
*lots of hugs and love to the staff*

Yes, the SoR support team deserves a nobel prize.
aside: what does 'floatsheeters' mean?

People who are given a floatsheet (you know, if problem a occurs, say "<insert predefined text concerning problem a>") and are ordered never to stray from it by some brilliant marketing/customer relation decision.
Floatsheet, Flowchart...

yeah they support is so great that everytime i have a bug i report, it's reproducable, i get a response of "it's your system not us"
thing is everytime i do one thing, i crash. only time it ever happens in the game. but of course it's my system
or there's the cases of harrassment that we've reported and NOTHING has been done, i even pm'd lawrence like he asked and 2 days later i have no reply from him
thanks for the "great" support guys

Not to mention the huge amount of uber *hugs* that some give out- which i love

Thank you thexdane for trying to hijack yet another thread with your complaints about 'nothing being done about rules breakers'.

they're speedy to answer you yes, however having an answer, no they don't always have an answer. blaming a persons system when something happens only under certain circumstances is not a problem with their system.
also they should know when to escilate an issue, ie hand the ticket off to the devs or to someone who is more technically inclined
to eleborate, before i'm asked, i have an issue when i autorun into almost any town i crash. this is reproducable almost 100% of the time, sometimes i get lucky and don't, smaller ones without loading music don't crash on me. the only solutions i've been told by the gm's and guides are "it's your system turn off everything" well if i have to keep turing down my settings, i'm going to play a game i'm NOT paying to play and i don't have to do this.
this is a bug as it only happens when i autorun into a city. now why this doesn't happen with everyone is simple, any coder or anyone with a bit of an inclination for map making, a faster computer will compensate for certain issues as will more powerful video cards, slower systems can't cope with this and crash.

hugs don't fix issues and are useless, brings out more contempt than a good feelings in me
