Hmmm... everything I've seen says that Outposts isn't part of an expansion pack. Outposts are simply a new feature that will be added to the game similar to adding mounts (be it much more complicated) was.

When it is available it will be available to everyone. The features related to outposts is going through prelimary testing on the test server ("ATS"). Don't expect them on the live servers any time soon as the best guess puts them 6-8 weeks out before player acceptence testing.

Outposts will be on all servers and will be a free addon to the game as part of Chapter 3. There will be a compulsory patch, possibly in a month or two (seeing as they're in internal testing now) that will update the game. Everyone is waiting to hear what announcements Nevrax will make at E3 though as it looks like they've got something bigger than outposts planned.

You will need to find a Tribe Outpost Officer, usually near the other tribal officials, and perform the tasks they set you. Killing rival tribes will probably get the police, national guard, and army down on you..

Humm Outpost..now are these the outpost that where promised the Beta guys! ,but never happend.
Are these the outposts that have been promised since release..but have still not been put on!.
Just wait a little bit longer guys and we will get it sorted..testing outposts now!..Humm ok..better late than never or will it be to late for SOR.
Beta guys left cos they felt let down,players have left since release waiting on promise of Outposts.and Dark&light game gets ever closer to going live.
I hope Outposts do come on line soon i realy do,lets just hope it's worth the wait.

I really, really hope they come when they have been properly tested, not rushed in because of posts like this.

Rushin you Sap..outposts have been promised since/or be4 release thats why some of the Beta players walked away from the game and others have got fed up~of waiting,only now have they decide to test outpost 9 months after i first read about it on the forums.
we all want outpost Tested properly but SOR Devz should have told us that we would not get Outposts for a long time instead of empty promises that tick players of so much they leave,Numbers on Ryzom are low as it is.
Ryzom could have been a Great game but it seems to be lacking direction ,maybe thats why they are in the trouble it finds its self.
