Ok, so ive heard in various places that it is somehow possible to get an ATI Mobility Radeon 7500 64mb card to work with this game, something to do with OpenGL (which im not sure what that is still lol) and some other stuff, but i havent gotten a real clear picture as to what i can do yet. The game will come up and run and not even crash for a really long time, but it looks really messed up. I was hopinig some of you bright and clever folk could shed some light on this for me. thanks!

run ryzom configure and then set the video to direct3d

hopefully that works, it does on my mobility 9200

Well, it does work with Radeon Mobility 9X00 family video adapters...

There were some ppl using notebooks with the Radeon Mobility 7500 onboard, though some couldn't get it to work. Another one was able to play SoR but only with the Omega drivers instead of the vendor-supplied Mobility drivers, so that might be the next step if it doesn't run just by switching the graphics mode...

Also make sure you deactivated the shaders, AFAIK the Radeon Mobility 7500 doesn't have hardware shaders...

Yeah, i can get it to work by just switching it to direct 3d and switching off the shaders, but it is still pretty laggy. So, im just going to buy a 9000 (its the only one that will fit my chassis), but i think it will be a good improvement. Thanks for all the tips guys! :)
