(This is a tale I wrote for the mergerevent and it was told by Sxarlet)

Homins we have come here today to gather in joy and pleasure
We are here to to welcome our friends whom we have felt aside us for long

When I look upon all the new faces I see here my heart feels warm for I know
that all here strives for the safe ongoing of Atys. And it cannot be protected
by any better.

You are all strong Homins with a clear mind and open eye
When I look upopn you all here it reminds me of a tale told to me when I was a
small trykerette.

This tale is about two Homins whom had lost their hearts into eachother.
They lived together and spend the days in joy.

But then the Swarming came upon the lands of Atys and every brave Homin was
called to battle for the freedom that was lost to the Kitins.

The two beloved was separated in tears and lost for eachother as he had been
called out to defend the land.

Before he left, he gave her a ring to carry on her finger. With this gift he
said these words "Carry this ring and as long as you hold it close to your
heart we shall meet again".

Then he turned around and ran to the once whom should be his friends in arms.
And there she stood crying wishing nothing but to be at his side.
Time went on and she tried to keep up her daily life as much as she could.
Every day when she woke up she looked on the ring and thought on him.

One day a wounded carrier came running through the gates of the city screaming
that he had terrible news. Her heart made a sudden turn into despair.

The words of the carrier was indeed of the worst kind. The first platoon has
been wiped out, there was no one left from the city alive.

She burst into tear and fell on her knees. Was he lost forever ? will she not
see him again she asked herself. When she slowly opened her eyes and saw the
spots that her tears made in the sand the ring sparkled as the day he gave it
to her.

No she said to herself. As long as this ring is on my finger his life is not
lost, as long as I carry it he is out there looking for a way home to me. Of
this I am now certain.

Many took pity upon the girl knowing that she was now alone. All had lost
someone in this battle. Time passed on and days became months that turned
into years.

One day as she was standing in her home and doing some household chores when
suddenly a voice from behind her said : "I see that you still carries the

ring I gave you the day I left". She turned around and there was the face
she came to love even more that day.

Since that day rings given amongst Trykers has been a symbol for faith and
solidarity. As a token that we shall not give up and will not loose faith
in eachother.

We came here today to extend such a ring to you, a ring of faith.

*Bows as the ring is taken off her finger and place it in her palm to be taken*
