I am just curioius if there is a way to know if a player is AFK (away from keyboard) without sending them a tell?

I know if you put them on your contact list you can see when they are online, but I'd like to know if there is a way to know if they are AFK, rather then sending them a tell that may be a bother.

I don't know of any way to tell other than by sending them a tell or by actually standing in front of them and seeing that it says AFK above their head.

As far as I am aware if you type just /tell "name" and dont include a message it will tell you if they are afk or not. The only thing is they must also have typed /afk before going afk otherwise they wont show as afk to you ;)

Thats something i had been thinking about last night, how it would be nice if on the tell window itself, the name changed to *name*(AFK)

Aye, several people have suggested to Nevrax here on the forum and through submitted suggestion tickets, that, it would be nice on one's contact list and when using the "/who" command that an "AFK" appeared by a person's name if they were so.

As everyone has said, the only way to tell if someone is afk is to send them a /tell or see them physically with the AFK title hanging over their head. Rofl, thexdane, hahaha, "Call them on the phone." Thats classic.

Hopefully we'll see the devs put in something like that has been suggested. Although, it isn't but a minor thing.

This is "advanced AFK." Me, I'm still learning to remember to use the command.
