Title combinations

I don't know if this has been brought up before, but title combos is something I really would like to see in this game.

One example could be something equivalent to the Paladin title we find in most other RPG's. A character with 250 heal + 250 melee would for instance get a Divine Protector title.

I think such a system really would give more character to your character if you know what I mean :)

Any comments?

By the way, I know that Celestial Guardian and Divine Protector have similar meanings. It was just to exemplify. I'm just not that inventive :)

I think this is a great idea. Some titles require multiple stanzas as well as levels too, so it should be 'easy' for them to require multiple levels.

I suggest: All branches at level 100 "Jack of all trades, master of none" :P

If they give the titles a little more grander sounding, I think it's a good idea

I agree, a little creativity on the titles would be great. The standard Advanced, Expert Master gets old quick. Take 1 creative person for a day and get some nice stuff worked up for this.

My pet peeve is with shields, I reach 150 Bucklers (Bucklers and Full Shields split at 100) and I get a lousy Adavanced Shieldsmith title. At least give me something related to my bucklers. Please.

Noin.

There's another thing bugging me as well, and I know this has been discussed up and down more than once, but I'll still bring it up as I am in a chattering mood, and relates to titles in some way.

This is regarding off aff and def aff; two very nice paths to go, but not at all powerful enough to be regarded as real useful skills. They are not stand-alone skills, which means that you have to use them in a team for them to be useful.

At least give us who choose the path of affliction some spells that can actually damage an enemy, besides from madness. Madness would be great if it did more damage, and if it made the mob attack other mobs within aggro range as well. Another good spell in off aff would be strangle (drain effect, same as madness basically, but with some differences), and (again) if it did enough damage while linked it would actually be quite useful.

As for def aff, you should be able to summon *something* when you get to level 151, hence the summoner title. I was thinking of some sort of guardian(s) that would do abnormal amounts of damage, and protect the whole team for a certain amount of time. Another spell could be a protection aura that would cover every friendly within a certain radius for a limited time, but without the guardian(s).

Def aff and off aff have soo much potential (heard that one before? ;) ) but as they are now, I see no other reason to level them up besides from getting a new title.

Basically, what I wish for is more diversity, in both spell effects and animations at new titles, and the ability to escort someone from A to B without being an AoD or a Master Heavy Swordsman.

I have said this exact same thing in the past. A 200 Def. Aff. is going to be exactly identical to every other one (200 def. aff.) in abilities. How about some choices, i.e. more skills than skill points, and forcing you to have to choose. Have 3-4 times the number of skills as skill points once you reach 150. maybe 2x from 100-150. This way as you learn more you can make your choices.

I too have said this before, and btw mix the titles up a bit even within a tree, If I am a stunner, maybe I should get a fanciful name like "Mind Number" versus a "Demoralizer" for a fear specialist, etc.

Noin.

I'm 250 Def. Aff. and there is nothing new reaching that lvl only the title, like Marct said is going to be identical to every other peep that reaches that lvl. I'm hoping that new rites will make you different from any other peep that reaches that same lvl.
