Idea for crafting patterns

An extra "optional" mat slot, it isnt required to be filled to complete the craft the item), but is there to change the look, or add stuff to the item, and therefore get more difference's to the armors. Only on certain items will mats do things. And perhaps only the High Ql patterns.
For example. Adding Fiber to Heavy Pants will give the heavy pants a sortof casterpant like covering to the front and rear. Or adding ambers/magic focus things into the craft pattern adds a magic resistance bonus to the armor.
Adding animal parts will add certain looks to it as well, imagine kitin plates on the armor, or furs from animals lining the shoulders of the armor.
Adding magic focus items to weapons/ammo/shields of the 'living' variety of weapons allows it to do the special ele attacks as a bonus hit "you hit x for 713(750) + 200 poison damage", with certain mats adding better stats of the special attack.
Also a light hood for light armour, and a medium armor helmet.
