Has anyone got to a high level in ranged weapons?

If so:

(a) Are they any good?
(b) Do they have a range of over 50m?
(c) How much damage can you do with them at high level? 2000 dmg ?
(d) Can you solo with a ranged weapon ?
(e) Have you ever had a PvP fight melee v ranged or ele v ranged?
(f) Does the ammo you use make a difference to the dmg or effectiveness?
(g) Do you reccommend giving it a go? or is it a waste of time?

waste of time to make it ur main skill though u can have some fun with it, just dont expect to beat a melee or ele with the same lvl

Ranged skill is going to be reworkerd from the skratch as Xavier told us, current ranged tree is unbalanced and lack contents ( altough the ranged weapons are very cool )

You can run away whilst fighting with a ranged weapon, if you are good at this then most melee wouldn't stand a chance!

I bought myself 2 millya Living rifles, one for me and one for my girlfriend and i'm enjoying range alot atm

Give it a go

You can also shoot nuker so he gets interrupted and can't get a single spell trough... I haven't tested this at high levels.

Used ammo has a very big impact on your effectiviness.

I just want sharks with frickin laser attached to their foreheads. Is that too much to ask?

a) yes but you have to craft your own
b) no
c) no but it's comparable to melee
d) yes but it's better as support
e) yes and i beat the ranged person, i was many lvls higher tho, closer in lvls it's a dice roll thing
f) yes
g) sure it's fun to try

ranged is ok and treated very bad by the community at large. it's not a primary thing, it's more support but yes you can solo it

its the best pull thats for sure, very litle (if any) agro, but its a great solo too: just choose a nice "airport strip" and you're on the money. Last time i did range i was getting 2.8 k solo just shooting and running, when the "airport strip" ran out of meters the bug was always dead. ( = good solo xp with no loss of gear, without any real danger - since you'll be hunting under your lvl prolly and most of the times you wont even be hit)

Downside is you have to harvest/craft your own stuff or sell your soul for enough dappers to buy the stuff (ammo) and that the ammo quality (as in if its good or not) is vital (advice fount safe area for all mats needed for max damage ammo - "freebie" here )
