[closed - 7M winning bid] Q250 jewelry auction

As mentioned in the general forum, I am now capable of crafting 250q jewelry:
q250: proof of life pic
The terms are:
  • Winning bidders may choose between HP jewelry in Fyros pattern, focus jewelry in Tryker, or sap jewelry in Matis. Fyros HP sets will be of choice quality, focus and sap jewels will be fine quality (due to my harvesting limitations). You need not tell me with your bid what type you will want, as I will make them custom if I don't already have it stocked.
  • The winning bidder will be given the option of buying up to three sets at that price - but is only obligated to buy one.
  • bidding ends Wedensday, April 27, at 6 PM EST (GMT - 5). Delivery will be available within 48 hours of that time.
  • Only bids made on this auction are valid - please include your in-game name with your bid.
  • starting bid is 2 million dappers for the set.
  • bidding increment is 500K dappers. All bids that are not in even increments of 500K dappers will be rounded down.

I hope that isn't overly complicated - I figure it's better to be overly specific up front, than to have someone frustrated and disappointed due to a misunderstanding later.

I respectfully ask that you only include bids on this thread. If you have comments to make, you should find several locations elswhere in which to do so.

Thanks much!

winning bid........ 7M.....Yoshi

One request: please do not send me /tells in game asking for sets, as I do not plan to sell any that way. Whatever I am willing to distribute out of my guild, will either be sold through auctions like this one, or on the merchants (I will likely use the Dyron merchant for most of those, as that is already known as the prime jewelry market of Atys).

The reason for this request is simply that I don't have the world's greatest attention span, and if I get a bunch of windows popping up I'll never get anything done... so thanks in advance for your understanding in this regard! :)

the auction will close in a little over 2 hours from now. For those of you who wondered why I made the bidding increment 500k, it was in anticipation of possible end-of-auction sniping. If someone does win with a last-minute bid, that's fine, but given the increment they'll have to pay a real premium over the previous high bidder.

But I'm quite cool with it if Yoshi ends up winning with 7M, that's a good price and I like her :) Cheers!

Initially, you posted that this was about finding a price the market would bear, well, it is clear that 1 person will bear 7million dapper. Would it not be more wise to sell 5 sets at 5 million, or 12 sets at 4 million, or 25 sets at 3 million?

All you really did was find the highest price someone was willing to pay at the moment.

...which serves to put everything else in context. One person, of the minority of players that actually use the forums, bid 7M. If I put on market for this price, I am confident that they will sell, given the larger number of people that would have access to those markets, and the added temptation that comes from being able to just put down the money and get the good stuff, rather than having to wait out an auction and arrange delivery. If they don't sell, I'll lower the price. No worries.
