I can not figure out how to gather stuff for crafting like Buo Fibers. Can I use my prospecting/harvesting skills to find and gather them or what? Where are they and how to gather them? Yep, I am a newbe and still on newbe island.

You sure can use prosecption and harvesting to gather them, in fact prospecting and harvesting are arguably the most important things you can learn!

Use these 2 skills to find raw material sources, these can be the buo fibers you spoke of, but can also be a whole multitude of other raw materials. From these raw materials you can them craft your own items such as clothing, weapons, jewellery and so on.

You will notice a raw material source as golwing green balls found on the floor, if you have an extraction plan you will be able to take raw materials from it

This might help you good starting guide if your new to harvesting and you can see what goodies you get at higher lvls.

Each town on newbie island has different resources near it. Go about 20m or so away from town and prospect all around in different directions, when you find a source open your map (M key) and place cursor over the white arrow, right mouse click and create a reference point for that source.
If you just started it's better to level your skills in town untill level 10.

Here is a nice map that can show you where to find resources. You did not gave us informations about your race and harvesting level so, unfortunatelly, we can provide only general help.

Basically, are two actions, prospecting and harvesting. Each of them can be edited (right click on it / edit) to fit to your purpose. To find fiber you can learn "clothing prospect" or "fiber prospection" stanzas. Add them to your prospecting action... and you are set.
If you are too low level to learn those stanzas, use that map and/or ask the players around where are the fiber spots.
