Things Guilds Want

I'd like to start a thread where we as guilds can post the things we would like to see in game. Let's keep this constructive and if possible limit the postings to leaders and officers to help reduce the spam.

One of the first things we would like is remote guild invite. A keyboard command such as /guildinvite "name" could enable us to invite others into the guild without having to be near them. We can already /tell and chat from anywhere to anywhere, so there really isn't any gameplay reason not to be able to.

We would also like the list of all guild members and total # of guild members back on the guild screen. We can use our friends list if need be to keep track of who is on now, but we really utilized the other version of the guild screen.

More guild info aka how much 'money' or 'fame' to get 'this' and 'that' etc

#1 Working outpost officers

#2 Working guild missions

#3 Having the how guild name-symbol feature work

#4 Guild icon on crafted products. "Branding"

#5 Some kind of post to let new players know which guilds are out there. Maybe some signpost that can be placed in the capital city and newbie island cities simply stating guild name and guild description. Make it so it has to be renewed like every month or so.

#6 more details on goo invasion, how to fight it, etc.

I am so glad to see you guys share the same concerns as me, the patch focuses are way off base for the best part of this games future. If missions and guild objectives are not implemented soon a lot of good faith will be lost.

Some sort of visible guild tag next to a player's name would be a valuable addition. It would help us recognize allied guilds easily and give guild recruiters an indication of who is guilded and who is not... not to mention it's a badge of pride worn to show your affiliation. If they could somehow implement the guild banners into it as well that would be even better.

I'll join Svayvti and DoubleTap on this. Guild's are central to the game and yet are nearly impossible to identify.

It's already a feature (non-functional) press U and look under HUD and In Scene (I think that's the correct area) and for friends you can add guild name and symbol. Now, if those options would actually work, guild life would be improved. (see #3 in Svayvti's post above)

Personally I feel that 1-4 above are absolutely vital to guild survival, while 5 and 6 are things we really need but may be able to survive without.

Good point Gralen, thanks.

The way I numbered them is my priority for putting in those issues.

The first 3 would be urgent to me, the last 3 would be nice.

I absolutely agree with Gorran on the first three. We need these to be online - and quickly. As far as branding goes, it would be very nice, however, lets take first things first.

For point 5 I will defer to others. I personally have no love for the concept, but don't let one voice stand against many. There may very well be value in that system in Ryzom.

Point 6 should be incorporated soon. When our Zorai hero came to speak in Zora, she managed to dodge answering the question (in various guises) perhaps six times. This seems a little odd, but I suppose I will wait for the patches to see if new wisdom comes our way.

A few more things:

a way of reading each guild members personal fame ratings. So we can learn if one person is sabotaging guild fame. This WILL happen eventually I'm sure.

Online status of guild members, without having to input them all into the friends menu. Guild lists get long, can we just have a box like in the friends menu that checks the online status of guild members?

Guild billboard? The guild forums don't work, and might be irrelevant by the time they get implemented. It would definately be nice to have some feature like a billboard in the game where every member could leave a short message with their name. Even if it just displays their levels or something. Perhaps an upgrade option for guild halls? (once you get outposts working that is :p )
