Hi SoR fanatics,
I glad to say I am one too. Fresh off the teleporter and 6 days old. The game is brilliant, I love it already and the community is fab. Hey, I've already seen Slyk the named varinx (Big baddie, he was just wiping out stuff in PR) and been killed off many times but those blasted Cutes/Cloppers/Bodcs actually just about everything.

I have been having a problem though, (apart from having a dp I would chuffed to have in pounds) as I am dead keen to get those amber cubes of Knowledge and I wonder if it is a know problem amongst the older players.

Be'Riplan Jichy. Where is this guy? I tried running around the entire lakelands and then had a brainwave... check the forums. Could not find anything, but then I can accross the Ballistic Mystyx site. It rocks! Big time two thumbs up to you web designer. Anyway, I used the NPC finder and there he was Be'Riplan Jichy, just east of Avendale. Great I thought. So off I went, swim, swim, splash, splash as happy as as sleeping Yubo but when I got there I turned in to Slyk. He was nowehere to be foud on that whole coast line. After, I calmed down, and became rational (that involved mass homicide on all Cloppers in sight) I thought he may pass by later. Well I have checked 3 days running now and he is not there. I dont think the info from Ballistic Mystyx is wrong, because everything else is spot on but is Be'Riplan Jichy off on holiday down in Min-Cho or something. Somebody help, please.

Just one small note...

On the ballisticmystix.com link above, it zooms you all the way in so you don't actually see all of the locations we have recorded for that particular NPC. The following link will get you to a more zoomed out view and remove some of the other clutter (resource fields, mobs, teleporters, etc.):

@ all at BM ... you guys have put one powerful tool together there, much respect for your efforts.

I knew hunters and roaming npc's moved but not that much... jezz. ok thanks for your help Borg. And max respect to the Ballistic crew.

Hey, welcome to the game!

One thing to do is make a macro (shift + K to bring up macro editor) and create a hotkey to target an entity. Put the npcs name in the "Entity to target" box then run around that area pressing the key repeatedly. Once you got him targeted right click your compass and choose the "Target: xxxx" and you'll get a convenient arrow on your compass to follow.

This works great when trying to hunt named mobs as well

Nice tip. I found Be'Riplan after all your advice and maps. It was difficult to get the order to her she was surrounded by Baying Goaris. Not much of a problem for you Masters of Illusion and Avatars of Destruction (great titles.. luv it!) But more than a challenge for me to get in and get out without getting, yet another DP.
