Searching for a Guild (yet again)

Alright, well, it's that time again. Kult of Kami has only 7 members, and I'm the only one that actually logs on enough to be considered an active member. And since there isn't a heavy amount of RP'ing (or even Kami/Karavan conflicts for that matter) I think it's time for me to put aside my extremist views and join the more accessible community that is the majority of Atys.

Not that I don't love the Kami anymore. Not that I don't hate the Karavan anymore. But I'm sure there'll be a time and a place for all of that. Right now, guildmates to adventure and bond with are a bit more important to me.

I only require that a guild be pro-Kami, not excessively, just not Karavan. And a promise that the guild is not going to disappear one week after joining :p

In any event, I will be looking through the current guild list and reading forums and websites regarding various guilds, but I figured on letting a few guilds pitch their best recruitment posts here as well ;)

As far as longevity is concerned, Clan Omnis has been going since beta stage.
It is Kami and the main guild is Fyros based. There is also a small branch in Matis which has its own GH but will be returning to Fyros CO when outposts commence unless there is a strategic reason to keep MCO running.
Recently, we have started exploring lots of outlying areas with some surprising results.
CO is also a member of the Grand Alliance and allows for joint ventures plus that little bit extra security.
MCO is manned by a few old codgers who keep the holiday home open for storage of weps & mats whilst providing a focal point for CO members when required. Lets you have the best of both worlds.
Fyros CO is the more active & is welcoming/ helpful to new members.
Tember, Ronaldo & Spriteh are the main contacts for CO.
Drafly & myself are contacts for MCO.
Good luck in your search and have fun. We do.
Alyssah
Matis Clan Omnis
Yrks.

Sorry for not responding sooner, Alyssah. It was a few weeks ago, but I had ran into Spriteh in Dyron, and he had explained that CO was mainly a European guild. Not that I have problems with Europeans :p , but my playing hours are the exact opposite of your guild's playing hours.

So I'm still on the search! I guess a new requirement would be that you have some NA members in the guild. In the meantime I'll keep searching :)

Yeah, sorry about the state of the Kult of Kami. The state of the game just doesn't work for what the Kult was meant to be. Hope you find a more suitable group of players. :)

Well, a couple weeks into searching for a new guild and the effort has been almost entirely fruitless. It doesn't seem like I'll be switching guilds anytime soon. Not to mention that almost everyone who sees the Kult of Kami guild name over my character asks where you are. Your Kult of Kami has left a mark, and I feel kind of proud, seeing that almost everyone knows of this guild and it's story. I might as well just hold on until Chapter III is released, and see what happens then. By that time I should even be equal to your skills Raynes, if you still are looking to check out what Chapter III will be offering.

In the meantime, I think I'll keep the torch lit.

Wow, I didn't realise my name or the guild were that reconizable. Good to hear I made an impression on things. :) I'll be checking out chapter 3, I still have my subscription for a reason. :)

This is an example of who the world is effected by the players actions, I know we both and many other want move visible changes, but I am happy with the effects the players have on each other and in turn the world of Atys.

The 'Minds' behind the Homins of Atys are effected by the other Homins they meet.

We have great examples of all the emotions and feelings:

Conflict
Love
Romance
Hate
Anger
Jealousy
betrail
friendship
generousity
meanness
and many more....

These are the thing that change the real word and so it is on Atys.
(when we can build citys and destroy them, Atys will become more alive. Till then be happy that you can create Jobs, make friends and ememies, build people up and destroy them)

The butterfly effect exists already in Atys....

Examples

Killing Torkan means that others can enter EI easily for 3 days.
Giving a homin a set of armour, makes them stronger and in turn makes the people they know stronger.
A personal grude can start a war.
Lonely people can end their loneliness.
I trek to a new land opens a whole new world of oppertunity for those that make the journey.
One short adventure can create a leader of homins, out of a 'green' fighter.

These things and more happen every day on Atys, do you not see the effects of the actions?

The problem with this is once we have an effect, there isn't much to do with it. People know my name. They know my character is a crazy Kami extremeist and one who doesn't like the Matis and is tolerant of the Tryker. Now that people know that, what can I do with it?

Here in lies the dilemma.

I can only say what I did and hope that you can draw ideas from it.

I have a completed 'history' for Neun.

Family, life as a child, old friends and memories.

I have some mysteries associated with him.

Who is his father?
What is his true intent on Atys?
Why does he do what he does?

He has goals.

Public ones that he tells people.
Private ones he tell only his closest friends.
Secret ones, he has never told.

The point is Neun is 'real' in a Roleplay sense .... I do my best to make him as real as I can. Moods, Love, Angry are all things that people who know him will see projected by what he says and does.

Have you thought about why you follow the Kami, how it effect the people around you?
Are you 'living' the character?

Has Raynes found all the Kami Masters and explored and wondered?

What is his stance on the low Kami tolerance in Fyros?

Is aggresion his only option?

(Btw harassing a non-RP digger in Dryon, is not going to achieve anything. However that are a huge number of RP's out there. I met Dekkert, digging in Zorai ... offered advice about aggressive plans and he told me that it would upset the kami :D Nice roleplay and new friend)

I am rambling, but I hope you find something in there that sparks an Idea.

I've studied the lore inside out as to why he follows the Kami. He sees that unlike the Karavan, the Kami have no real personal gain from helping homins. He also sees that they have one cause, that being the protection of the planet. Since he is a Zorai and he views Atys and nature as something almost holy, it's only logical that he support the Kami.

Raynes has explored almost everwhere and found every Kami Master (and the fact they don't do much of anything to his dismay). He has also found pretty much every tribe and cutthroat tribe out there. In addition he has gotten a faction listing from every tribe under level 150 and worked to get perfect fame with several groups.

I'm not sure what you are reffering to the low Kami Tolerance in Fryos. If you mean the actual fryos race and their tolerance for the Kami, I wasn't under that impression. If it's about harvesting and the desert having a low Kami tolerance than thats obviously from the nonstop train of Matis who go their and steal the resources.

Is aggression his only option?
No, never said it was. He never said it was. In fact he is far less violent than the reputation he has earned. He will fight against those who work with the Karavan because they are against the Kami. He will fight against those who abuse Atys because it shows they disrespect the planet.

Have I lived my character?
To he extent I can. In real life we all have a routine that pretty much happens day after day. I just can't go home and log on to do that same routine there.
