Just curious.

I wrote an article about this recently for TTRPGs and wondered how many people here 'cross dress' when they create their characters :)

Obviously, don't comment if you don't want to be 'outed' :)

I play a female character, I dont mention her name on any of the forums as I dont break character whilst in game - which can be awkward at times!

I find its a fun way to play, and gives you a different perspective on the world - the male characters are either really nice to you or dont even seem to notice you.

I have a number of Alt's (only one on my Main Ryzom account, like sky I am a mutli account holder.)

Neun is a man played by a man :D

I have female alts and I am a 'rolepayer' in the fact it is like acting on a stage. The lead in a panto, is not a woman who whats to be a man, its a tradition and a part to play.

There are rules in roleplay, these are set by the players. (If you both know and understand the rules then you are both on a level playing field.)

Nineteen my Female FBT char, was great fun as a number of people were convinced 'she' was a real 'she' in real life, until I spoke on team speak!

My advice with all aspects of games like this and roleplay in general, is to be open and consider the other persons feelings.

Imagine a teenaged boy, full of hormones, suddenly finding out that his in game love was in fact a hairy builder form Yorkshire. Hardly fair!

I am passionate about my roleplay and it adds so much too the game for me.

Neun, the flirt, found true love and has changed ...... the Neun today is a very different Neun to the Neun that was first born on Atys. Its the role he plays thats changed. I am still me.

Roleplay is about having fun, doing things that just might not be possible in real life. However, always remember, the players behind the characters are real and have real emotions. Be true to them, as you are to youself and everyone will be happy.

If you have ingame issues talk to a GM, they will be able to put you in touch with someone who can give advice on 'roleplaying'.
