Starting from Pyr tonight at 7 pm GMT // 8 pm UK time // 9 pm CET on Tuesday 28 September and ending in Pyr. There will be guide checkpoints in Dyron, Thesos, and Dragons Spine stronghold which is between the two bridges. You may team up or not but the first past the post is the winner.

Daemon 'Duster' Apocaps ready to run

Pyr-Dyron-Thesos-Dragon's Spine is not a short run, but one can make it.

when in for the race but just after the word go my connection was lost

who won the race ?

Duster won it, our guild had a go, one guy (Jabes) got to 2nd checkpoint but had problems as we were constantly dying and having to restart.


Good fun, showed you a bit of the surrounding countryside and a GREAT way to earn dp.......

Duster won the race...the CSR will probably write a story later I think.
The race was a nice idea...the only problem was that running around cotlers, gingos, frahars, varinx, zerx and goaris is not fun Oh I almost for some npc tribes that agro too!!
Oh well...it did make it interesting...Lawrence...an idea for when patch 2 comes out. A race with player mouts!!! Don't forget

yeah perhaps a race with mounts later and when peeps have a generally higher level so we don't get slaughtered heh

Running to Dyron was quite ok, even if i underestimated a zerx on the way to it and had to spawn back in Pyr.
The 2nd attempt went perfect, check point Dyron and back, saved from Frahars by the Renegades, then from cloppers by the Water Breakers, i arrived back in Imperial Dunes.
«Hehehe ok, now to Dragon's Spine, my fav outpost, shouldn't be a problem, and anyway i can solo everything in Imperial Dunes except the Goaketh but it's faaaaar away»
That's where Jena decided to interfere and sent an Ocyx on the 1st bridge.
Of course i saw it too late and it didn't miss me.
Back to Dyron, grmbl
Running away from Dyron get ambushed by Frahars... back to Dyron
3rd attempt to go from Dyron to Dragon's Spine was successful, yeah now for the hairy part: Dragon's Spine - Thesos -Pyr!
Surprisingly Dragon's Spine-Thesos went very well; check point Thesos and then back... at least that's what i thought.
Zerx hitting for 1200/hit, varinx jumping out of ruins... bah!
3rd attempt everything goes fine, 1st bridge to Dragon's Spine «yeah i made it back to Dragon's Spine now it's eas... AAAH!»
Kipesta on the bridge, i keep running as fast as possible to Dragon's Spine and die on the "you have entered Dragon's Spine stronghold" message... check point validated, but back to Thesos, aaaargh!
Last attempt before turning mad, everything goes fine again, 1st bridge clear, Stronghold, second bri... AAAAH! Ah no, just a Timari.
Run to Pyr and at last, end of the race.
I must have died & spawn 6 times, but even against the odds, and a fast Zorai being not too far behind me (Silverion running too), i managed to win that race.

Really wasn't easy (should i thank or curse Jena?) but i made it and it was real fun, now i always check 3 times if those damn bridges are clear or not.

Also a lot of experience, now i know the Thesos -> Pyr and Dyron -> Pyr ways (one usually dies and spawns to travel...) and i now know where to go to travel safe through the desert
